Patrick Mahomes recently let it slip that Taylor Swift has gone all-in on football, even helping the Kansas City Chiefs draw up plays. While some NFL fans say they aren't happy about this new development, Nate Burleson is totally on board.

"As she should, right? She's boo'd up, Travis Kelce," Nate Burleson told TMZ while visiting NYC. "She might as well go into the facility, call some plays."

It's clear that Burleson is all for Taylor’s involvement, especially since the Chiefs continue to dominate on game days with her cheering from the stands. "They won two Super Bowls in a row, so she's doing something right," the football commentator added.

This isn't the first time Nate Burleson has stood up for the pop icon and her relationship with Travis Kelce. After the NFL released a 30-second promo for the 2024-2025 season, fans immediately noticed the number of times Taylor Swift appeared.

"Get out of your feelings," Burleson said in response to those blasting the organization after seeing the NFL video. "'Oh, are you upset, you’re a little mad because Taylor Swift is in the promo?' Who cares! Wipe the drool off your tank top, put some pants on, and get out of your mama’s basement!"

He continued, "I don't understand what the big deal is. Every other sport can show celebrities at the game. We show Taylor Swift and you get in your feels! Man, get out of your feelings and watch the game."

The stats don't lie. The Chiefs’ record with Taylor Swift in the stands was jaw-dropping last season as the team went 10-3 (including 6-3 in the regular season), with only losses to the Packers, Bills, and Raiders.

Given that the Chiefs finished 11-6 in the regular season and a perfect 4-0 in the postseason, that means they were 5-3 without the pop star and her cheering squad.

The 2024-2025 season is off to an amazing start for the Chiefs, taking home the W on Thursday night, and Taylor Swift was there to witness it all from a suite, cheering alongside Travis Kelce’s parents, Donna and Ed Kelce. It looks like the winning streak is continuing with Taylor's presence in the stands.

Last year, shortly after Taylor appeared at her first NFL game, CBS Sports revealed that Travis Kelce’s jersey sales soared by nearly 400%, catapulting him into the top five selling jerseys in the NFL. Meanwhile, StubHub reported a nearly threefold increase in ticket sales for Chiefs home games.

“It’s been fun to see them together over the last year,” Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt told the "TODAY" show, per People Magazine. “It caught us by surprise. When she showed up at that first game against the Chicago Bears, our fans went crazy.”

While Taylor Swift's appearances have definitely boosted the Chiefs' fan base and NFL viewership, not all sports fans are thrilled with how often she’s been featured on screen. Despite the mixed reactions, the pop star says the "Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate", and she continues to "Shake It Off."

“I’m just there to support Travis,” Taylor told Time Magazine in December. “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”

“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” she added. “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”
