The "damaging" rumor Chrishell Stause bashed Nicole Young for has finally been revealed on the new season of "Selling Sunset."
The feud between the co-stars made waves this week, with words being traded over the alleged lies Young had spread about their fellow castmate, Emma Hernan. Season 8 revealed the drama involved a love triangle.
Nicole Young accused Emma Hernan of having an affair with a married man — words that sparked Chrishell Stause's threats to quit the show if she continues to star on the Netflix series.
Nicole Young Slams 'Selling Sunset' Co-star Over Alleged Affair
The cheating rumor started to gain traction in episode five, with Young hinting at Hernan's affair during a dinner with castmates Mary Bonnet, Amanza Smith, and "Selling Sunset" newcomer Alanna Gold.
Young claimed she knew a "morally upsetting" rumor about Hernan, saying: "I heard about it from a source. I wish I didn't know... It involves Emma, and that's all I want to say." She added:
"It's just information that, you know, could really affect families, marriages, and Emma's reputation."
Despite the other women repeatedly trying to shut down the conversation, Daily Mail noted that Young continued: "As a married woman, that kind of sh-t pisses me off. If I were the wife, I'd f–king kill someone."
Young Encourages A Castmate To Use The Rumor As 'Ammo'
Although her fellow castmates urged her to drop the alleged rumor, Young could not stop herself from bringing it up in the season's finale. She told co-star Bre Tiesi all about Hernan's supposed affair, telling her to use it as "ammo."
The target was not Hernan but their castmate, Chelsea Lazkani, who had a falling out with Tiesi over similar cheating allegations. The latter claimed her husband, Jeff Lazkani, was spotted kissing a younger woman in a hotel lobby.
When Lazkani slammed Tiesi for addressing the rumor before cameras, Hernan supported her — a move Young found hypocritical given her alleged affair. "I think it's real interesting for Emma, in particular, to comment on other people's marriages," she noted.
"Because I've heard some gray things in terms of that. I would be careful in her position because she's been involved with people she shouldn't have been," Young claimed.
Young Claims Her Source Confronted Emma Hernan Over The Alleged Affair
When Tiesi asked if Young had proof of her claims, the latter revealed her source had allegedly confronted Hernan in person. "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Especially that one," she said about her co-star.
While Hernan never got to clear her name on the show, pals like Stause have vehemently slammed Young for the rumors. The Blast reported that Stause defended her friend days before the series premiered.
In an interview, Stause lamented Young's inability to make waves without trampling on others, saying, "The only time she's ever made headlines is trying to take down me and now Emma. So, you know, she's trying to do the same playbook she did before."
Stause Slams Netflix For Giving Young A Platform
Stause also had a bone to pick with Netflix for allowing Young's problematic behavior to continue on the "Selling Sunset" series. She called them out, stressing:
"It's unfortunate that she was given the platform to do it again and Emma not be given the chance to defend herself because, as you will see now with the receipts that are coming out, it's so blatantly untrue."
Stause noted that the cheating rumors weren't true and assured fans that they would see proof of Young's lies. "You'll see all of this proof coming out; unfortunately, we have to wait until it airs to be able to post it," she claimed.
Chrishell Stause Threatens To Quit If Nicole Young Stays
Stause implied that Young's cheating rumor was the last straw for her and declared she would "never work on a show with her again." When asked if she would leave if the latter stayed, the 43-year-old said:
"After eight seasons and seeing someone systematically try to plot against several people... Why are we giving her more airtime?"
"The audience doesn't wanna see this or hear this. When somebody's just hungry for camera time and lies, the audience is over it," Stause continued, stating that Young could continue spreading lies to stay relevant in her absence.
Will Chrishell Stause really leave Netflix's "Selling Sunset" or is Nicole Young going to get the boot?
