Fans are speculating there may be a cat fight between the two after Brittany, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, found herself in hot water over her political stance. The NFL star's wife has been catching heat from Swifties, who are calling her out for supporting Donald Trump over Kamala Harris.

Taylor, who is dating Patrick's teammate and close friend Travis Kelce, publicly endorsed Joe Biden during the 2020 election and has been very vocal about her opposition to Trump. Could this be causing friction in the friend group, especially with rumors swirling about Taylor possibly throwing her support behind Kamala Harris in the upcoming election?

Adding fuel to the fire, Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes were spotted watching the Kansas City Chiefs home opener in different suites on Thursday.

The pop icon made a statement at the Chiefs home opener, rocking a bold denim-on-denim look paired with knee-high red boots that had everyone’s attention.

She watched her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, alongside his parents, Ed and Donna Kelce, and a few others—noticeably without Brittany Mahomes by her side.

As The Blast previously reported, the former soccer player recently found herself in hot water after allegedly liking—then quickly unliking—an Instagram post on August 13 from the Republican presidential candidate. The post, titled "The 2024 GOP Platform," sparked immediate backlash from fans.

While Taylor was cheering on the team in a crowded suite, Brittany watched her husband from a different suite with her daughter, Sterling.

The two used to be glued to each other at Chiefs games — remember last NFL season? Taylor and Brittany were constantly spotted together in the same suite, hugging, dancing, and having a blast.

The two have also spent time together off the field, grabbing a bite to eat, attending house parties, and Brittany even catching Taylor’s iconic Eras Tour during the off-season.

It seems politics may have driven a wedge between the two women. While Taylor has yet to endorse a candidate for the 2024 election publicly, she has previously slammed Donald Trump, accusing him of "stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism," among other things.

Brittany, however, took a different stance, showing her support for the Republican candidate.

Brittany later addressed the situation on the “WHOOP” podcast, where she opened up about how her husband has helped her navigate the pressures of fame and being in the public eye.

“I think the main thing that he always told me is like, ‘Stop caring about what people think, especially the people that don’t even know you,'" she said, adding that “social media used to get me a lot” but now she doesn’t “give a f-ck about what people have to say about me anymore."

She added, “And I think he’s helped me get to that point where I’m strong in who I am, I’m confident in who I am and I’m confident in mine and his relationship -- and I’m confident in our life. So, why does what other people say have to matter at all?”

Days after Brittany's political stance went viral, Trump shared a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, expressing his gratitude to the NFL quarterback's wife.

"I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country," he wrote in his post. "With Crime and Illegal Immigration totally out of control, INFLATION Ravaging all Americans, and a World that is laughing at the stupidity of our hapless 'leaders,' it is nice to see someone who loves our Country, and wants to save it from DOOM."

He later called Brittany and Patrick a "great" couple, adding, "See you both at the Super Bowl!" expressing his support for the Kansas City Chiefs.
