'Love & Marriage: Huntsville:' Carlos King Implores Men To Learn From Martell Holt's Mistake

"Love & Marriage: Huntsville" cast Martell Holt has been receiving backlashes from his disappointed fan base, after details of his half a decade-long extramarital affair was came to light. 

The 39-year-old who was married to Melody Holt, watched his marriage go down the drain after it was confirmed that his mistress of five years was expecting his child.

Speaking on the controversy, producer of "Love & Marriage: Huntsville," Carlos King stated that other men in relationships should take life lessons from Holt's mistake and do better.

The TV program's first episode aired on January 12, 2019 and it centers on the life of three African-American couples in Huntsville, whose common denomination is real estate. 

These group of individuals are not only socialites, but good friends who are opinionated and task themselves with helping their city's real estate stricture thrive. 

While the show is mainly about business, it also follows the personal life of the couple from marriage to children. On April 3, 2021, the show aired its 20th episode from its second season.

Melody revealed during an interview that she first found out that Martell was having an affair in 2017. She disclosed that his mistress at the time called his cell and demanded to speak with him. 

After carrying out some investigations, she later found out that they had been having an affair for two years. 

Melody told "Showbiz" that her first instinct was not to opt out of the marriage because she was not willing to throw away all they had built together. She also stated that prior to the affair, they never had problems and Martell was very apologetic, which made it easy for her to forgive him.

Melody was willing to give her marriage a second chance as she could not bring herself to walk away. 

While everything seemed to be going well between the couple outwardly, the cat was finally let out of the bag when Melody confirmed again that her husband was still cheating on her.

A report confirmed that the mistress, Arionne Curry, was the same girl from the first affair and that she is pregnant with Martell's baby. Melody filed for divorce in April 2020 and it was finalized in March 2021.

"Love & Marriage: Huntsville" producer, Carlos King, recently spoke out on Martell's infidelity and said that despite his mistakes, other men in relationship can learn a lot from him. 

King recounted that the first time he met the couple, he was amazed at how much they seemed to be in love with one another and jokingly thought to himself that Melody had her husband wrapped around her fingers. 

He went on to say that men should learn from Martell and try to "do right by their wives."
