Amy Was Wheeled Out Of The Safari Park

Amy's alleged encounter with the camel occurred before her arrest, leading to EMS workers wheeling her out of the Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo. Pictures taken from the scene showed her in pain with a piece of clothing wrapped around one arm like a makeshift tourniquet.

Eyewitnesses claimed they saw Amy walking through the parking lot with the shirt before first responders arrived to treat her. While she insisted a camel bite caused the injury, the park's co-owner begged to differ.

According to Jon Conley, the park's camels had never attacked anyone in their years-long operation despite having thousands of guests. He argued that the animal could not have caused the cut above Amy's elbow.

Conley claimed the wound did not resemble a camel's bite marks because the skin was fileted open, and there was no bruised tissue. He also dismissed Amy's narrative of what happened, claiming no surveillance footage backed her claim.

Inside The TLC Star's Viral Arrest

Although authorities initially responded to calls about an alleged camel bite, they slammed cuffs on Amy over the situation in her car. They reportedly found psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana in plain sight despite there being two kids in the vehicle.

The Blast noted the Crockett County Sheriff's Department shed more light on Amy's arrest in a Facebook post, claiming: "Upon arrival, deputies were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest's vehicle."

Amy and her companion, Lovvorn, were arrested on multiple charges, including illegal possession of schedule I, illegal possession of schedule IV, and two counts of child endangerment. However, these charges aren't set in stone.

Amy still has a shot of escaping the charges against her, with the Sheriff's Department stressing that she had not been convicted of any crimes. They explained that the case was still under investigation, noting:

"The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence."

"The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law," the Sheriff's Department added, implying that Amy needed to prove her innocence to be free.

Amy Slaton's arrest comes eleven months after her older sister, Tammy, was arrested on drug possession charges.
