In a recent Instagram Stories post, Simone Biles referred to her coach as a "queen" following her record-breaking performances at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

At the recent Olympic Summer Games, Simone broke 13 records, including becoming the most-decorated American gymnast with 11 medals. She also joined an exclusive group of just 29 athletes who have won more than ten medals in both Summer and Winter Olympics throughout their careers.

Just weeks after making headlines for her latest Olympics accomplishments, Simone Biles used social media to express her admiration for her coach after USA Gymnastics shared a remarkable statement about Coach Cecile Landi.

In her Instagram Stories, Simone Biles shared a post from USA Gymnastics praising Cecile Landi. Coach Landi coached 1/3 of the gymnasts in the 2024 Olympic Trials and nearly half of the Olympic team, including alternates.

Simone showed respect for her coach by writing "QUEEEEEEEN."

As a coaching team, Cecile and Lauren Landi have trained and mentored 11 members of the U.S. Women’s Senior National Team, including Olympic and World champions Simone Biles and Madison Kocian, as well as World team champions Alyssa Baumann and Jordan Chiles.

The two have also helped Simone in addressing her mental health issues as she made her remarkable comeback after withdrawing from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, citing the "twisties."

“I knew I wasn’t done after the performances in Tokyo," Simone previously said. "Getting back in the gym and trusting the process with Cecile and Lauren. I knew I’d be back.”

Following the award of the bronze medal in the final Women's Gymnastics Olympics event, which was awarded to Jordan Chiles after the athlete and her coach submitted an inquiry, controversy spun out of control as many said the inquiry should not have been accepted.

“I shouldn’t have to explain but I will ONCE,” Jordan's coach, Cecile Landi, began. “Jordan’s highest possible SV on floor is a 5.9- At quals and team finals she received a 5.8 and we didn’t question it because we saw that not all elements were completed."

"During floor finals, we thought [it] was better and being placed 5th with nothing to lose, I sent the inquiry so I wouldn’t regret not asking," she continued. "I didn’t think it would be accepted and at my surprise it was.”

She then informed the social media users that she “didn’t steal anything from anyone,” as she “simply did my job and fought for my athlete.”

Days later, a judge from the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled that Jordan Chiles must forfeit her bronze medal.

The duo became close friends after Simone invited Jordan to train at her gym alongside Cecile and Lauren Landi, shortly after Chiles mentioned she "didn't think the sport wanted [her] anymore."

“I guess this sport is coming to an end for me because things just aren’t working out for me at all whatsoever,” Jordan recalled, according to The New York Times. “I just wanted to finish high school and go off to college. But then I had a talk with Simone.”

The Landis were recognized for their tough and detailed training, but they also emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced life to cope with the pressures of the sport. Simone made it clear to Jordan that if she was going to move to Texas and train at World Champions Centre, it had to be something she genuinely wanted, not merely an obligation.

After consideration, Jordan decided to take Simone up on her offer, and Simone took Jordan under her wing, forming a bond as close as sisterhood. With Simone's guidance and support, Jordan found her way back to the top of the sport.

Now that the 2024 Paris Olympics have come to an end, many are wondering if she will return to the Olympics in four years for another shot at gold.

While the athlete has not ruled out the possibility of competing in a fourth Games, she has not yet confirmed her plans to return either.

"You know, you never say never," she said on the "TODAY" show after the women's gymnastics competition ended. "The next Olympics is on home turf [in Los Angeles] so you just never know."

She added, "I’m just going to relax and see where life takes me."
