Ben Affleck Reportedly 'Annoyed' By Kick Kennedy Romance Rumors Amid Jennifer Lopez Divorce

Ben Affleck is reportedly fuming over speculation that he's dating Kick Kennedy, a member of the prominent Kennedy family.

After his estranged wife, Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce, rumors surfaced that the pair had been spotted hanging out at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel and other L.A. hotspots.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez still have several financial entanglements to sort out, and the absence of their prenup has complicated their divorce.

Rumors have been swirling about a new romance in Hollywood, but one party involved is not pleased.

According to TMZ, the whispers of a budding relationship between Affleck and Kick have apparently struck a nerve with the "Argo" actor, who's said to be "wicked p-ssed" about the gossip.

Sources close to Affleck said that he finds the rumors of a relationship with Kick ludicrous and that he's been "annoyed" by all the gossip.

Meanwhile, sources close to Kick said she has also been telling people in her circle that she is "definitely not dating Affleck."

Multiple sources told People Magazine that Affleck has been "spending time together" with 36-year-old Kick, the daughter of former U.S. presidential candidate Bobby Kennedy Jr., since June and that he is her celebrity crush.

"Kick's celeb crush has always been Ben," a source told the news outlet on Monday.

Affleck's rep, Jen Allen, has since distanced the Oscar winner from the rumors that he's dating Kick.

"The rumors are not true," Allen told Fox News, adding in another statement that she "doesn't know if they even know each other."

According to the Daily Mail, Affleck decided to deny his connection with Kick because he feared it would be an issue in his divorce from his estranged wife, Lopez.

"Ben should have said nothing," an insider told the news outlet. "He tried to erase Kick from his existence, and it was just not fair for her or for anyone who knows her."

"He is trying to pull the 'I don't know her' card but what he failed to realize is that they weren't the only two people in the world that knew that they used to hook up, or that they were hanging out again," the source added. "He fears that this will affect his divorce and, even though there was no overlap, saying he didn't even know her was not the right move."

A second source claimed that Affleck was trying to stay out of the news as he doesn't like "the intrusion that comes with celebrity."

Kick is the daughter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who recently suspended his presidential campaign to support Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

According to the Daily Mail sources, Affleck disliked the possibility of being dragged into the political discourse and would rather distance himself from it for now.

"And now, when it comes to Kick, he is worried about being connected to Trump in the wake of her father's endorsement," a source said.

"Given the current political climate Ben is putting the brake on Kick," they added. "But not only because of the Trump connection. He is also concerned about what JLo would think."

The romance rumors come after Affleck's nearly two-year marriage to Lopez ended last month when she filed for divorce at the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Lopez listed the date of their separation as April 26, seemingly giving credence to the divorce rumors that had followed them for months, as they had not been pictured together publicly.

Multiple sources have since accused the "Gone Girl" actor of being the cause of their split because he was seemingly not invested in getting things settled. The "Hustlers" actress reportedly launched a last-minute quest to save what was left of their marriage at the time.

A source told Page Six that the kind of "big love Jennifer believes in" is "not in [Ben's] DNA" — going further to claim that Affleck "has a darkness to him that no other person can fix. [His actress ex-wife] Jen Garner couldn't fix it, all the success in the world couldn't fix it."

"He would have done anything to make this work. She opened herself up to criticism, ridicule, and countless naysayers who told her this was a bad idea, that it was doomed, that there was a reason it didn't work the first time. But she didn't want to believe it— she truly believed love would conquer all," the insider added.

Affleck and Lopez's split may get ugly due to the multiple assets at stake. The pair have reportedly been going through their divorce with the help of celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser.

However, a source told People Magazine that the proceedings have "the potential to get ugly" since Affleck and Lopez did not sign a prenuptial agreement.

The insider noted that "there are some sticking points over financials" between the A-list stars, who got married at The Little White Chapel in Las Vegas.
