Travis Kelce's Team Lawyers Up Over Viral Taylor Swift Breakup 'Contract'

A leaked "contract" has sparked controversy surrounding the relationship between NFL star Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift.

The document, which appeared to have been created by Los Angeles-based firm Full Scope, which is in charge of Kelce's PR, claimed to have devised a strategy to announce their split and how best to manage the sports star's image.

Full Scope has now denied that the Taylor Swift breakup document came from them and said it would pursue legal action against its perpetrators.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end's representative has denied creating the viral document that appeared to insinuate that his love affair with Swift was an illusion.

Kelce and Swift went public with their romance in September 2023 when she attended one of his games with the Chiefs, but the document seemingly showed that the pair planned to announce their breakup later this month.

The document also claimed that the firm had planned a PR campaign for the football Star, which included sending the announcement to major news outlets for "broad coverage."

According to the Daily Mail, a spokesperson for Full Scope, who also represent celebrities like Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter and RuPaul's Drag Race winner Sasha Colby, said that the document was "entirely false and fabricated and was not created, issued or authorized by this agency."

"We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents," they added.

The dubious document, which has been circulating online, claims to reveal a calculated end date to Kelce and the "Bad Blood" singer's year-long romance. It has since left fans stunned and wondering if the duo's love story was merely a clever ruse.

The paper, which was written on the US company's headed paper, puts the date for their supposed breakup as September 28, adding that the announcement would be "gracious, respectful and stress mutual respect," per the Daily Mail.

Highlighting what the statement would contain, it read, "Example: Travis and Taylor have decided to part ways after careful consideration. They both value and respect each other's personal lives and appreciate your respect for privacy during this time."

"They are both committed to their careers and personal growth. They remain friends and wish each other the best," the document continued, adding that the announcement would focus on Kelce's "personal growth" by portraying their split as a "natural part of life."

Meanwhile, the couple's relationship has blossomed well since they went public with their romance.

The "Blank Space" crooner has attended the Chiefs' games on several occasions to cheer her boyfriend on to victory and even wore the club's colors on stage during her shows, as well as earrings and a bracelet with hers and Kelce's initials.

The 34-year-old athlete, on the other hand, recently invested in a racehorse named Swift Delivery, which many fans have claimed is a tribute to his famous girlfriend.

Recently, Kelce subtly expressed his love for Swift when he joined several of his teammates, including Patrick Mahomes, Chris Jones, Nick Bolton, Justin Reid, and Harrison Butker, for a roundtable discussion on Wednesday, August 28, hosted by announcer Mitch Holthus, per Newsweek.

During the sit-down, Kelce, on behalf of the team, shared some sweet tributes to Holthus, saying, "We love you."

However, Holthus then asked if Kelce would "love [him] more than Taylor," to which he replied, "Maybe not."

The "Shake it Off" hitmaker is so in love with her boyfriend that she has even started assisting him with his football career.

Kelce's teammate, Patrick Mahomes, sat down with Chris Simms in a recent "NFL on NBC" interview. In it, he praised Swift and her genuine interest in the sport.

"Meeting Taylor, realizing how genuine and cool she is... that's been special to me, because like you said [she's] the most famous person in the world," the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback told Simms, per People Magazine.

He continued, "She's really interested in football, she asks a lot of great questions. She's already drawing up plays, so we might have to put one in."

Mahomes, who, along with his wife Brittany, has grown closer to Swift since she started dating Kelce, previously said in a CBS Mornings interview that the "Cruel Summer" singer is "part of the team," per People.

The three-time Super Bowl winner said that when Kelce and Swift first started dating, "everybody stayed back" and "just let [Kelce] do what he was doing."

"Then, he started bringing Taylor around, and he realized how cool of a person she was, and she is, and so for us, there were a couple of jokes here and there at the beginning," he admitted.

But now, "She's just part of Chiefs Kingdom," Mahomes said. "And she's part of the team."
