Tammy and Amy Slaton officially have another thing in common — getting in trouble with the law!

Amy seems to be taking after her older sister, Tammy, in the wrong ways by getting slapped with a drug possession charge. Her run-in with the law comes nearly a year after her sibling's arrest for the same crime.

Amy and Tammy Slaton rose to fame as the stars of TLC's "1000-lb Sisters." The pair have achieved impressive weight loss transformations amid their sometimes tumultuous love lives.

Tammy & Amy Slaton Become Sisters In Crime

On Monday, September 2, a Facebook post announced Amy's recent run-in with authorities. Officials revealed she was arrested alongside a man, Brian Scott Lovvorn, who was in the car with her.

Surprisingly, cops weren't called to the Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo because of Amy and Lovvorn. The Crockett County Sheriff's Department initially responded to calls about a guest being bitten by a camel.

"Upon arrival, deputies were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest's vehicle," the statement revealed, noting the suspects were arrested and booked into the Crockett County Jail on multiple charges.

Amy and her companion faced charges of illegal possession of schedule I, illegal possession of schedule IV, and two counts of child endangerment. As for the alleged camel bite, authorities did not share further information about the incident.

The Sheriff's Department stressed that Amy's case was still under investigation, noting, "The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence."

"The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law," the post continued, implying that the charges against Amy could be dropped with sufficient proof of her innocence.

Eleven months before Amy's legal troubles, The Blast reported that Tammy was arrested on drug possession charges. Her case was similar to her younger sister's, with authorities visiting her home after a complaint.

Tammy's Arrest Came Five Days After Her Husband's Funeral

Tammy's arrest happened at the worst time, a mere five days after she attended her husband Caleb Willingham's funeral. Her late beau passed away on July 1, 2023, with his stepmom, Shirley Willingham, announcing his death.

Tammy similarly confirmed the grave news in a poignant statement, writing, "I am devastated to share the news of my husband's passing. He was my best friend, and I loved him dearly."

She continued, "When I met Caleb, he became my guardian angel, and now he really is watching over me. Our families appreciate everyone's sympathy and ask that you respect our privacy at this time."

Amy Flaunted Her Revenge Body Following 'Red Flag' Ex-boyfriend

Before the drug possession arrest, Amy seemed to dominate 2024 by rocking an impressive weight loss transformation. In March, The Blast reported that she turned heads on Tiktok with a revenge body post.

Amy flaunted her trimmed-down figure in a beautiful strapless black dress, striking poses in the number, while Lexy Panterra's "Bad B-tch" played in the background. She captioned the post:

"Serving body baby with a dash of low self-esteem, but we doing the d-mn thing!!!"

The video received tons of love from fans, who applauded Amy's transformation. Many were happy to see her thriving after ending her romance with Kevin, who some noticed exhibited "red flags" on social media.

Amy Slaton's New Goal Is 'Toy Before The Boy'

Following the outpour of support, Amy opened up about moving past her ex-boyfriend. "Thank you all. I love y'all. It's been a ruff few days, and f-ck him! Not crying over his loser a-s," she wrote, adding, "Toy before the boy is my new goal, lol."

Amy also implied Kevin only wanted to be with her for fame. The pair first made headlines in early February when she showed him off on social media, but it was unclear how they met.

Kevin marked one of many rebound relationships Amy had following her divorce from her ex-husband, Michael Halterman. The pair separated in March 2023 and share two sons, Gage Deon and Glenn Allen.

While Amy and Tammy Slaton haven't had the best track record with love or the law, the pair continue to thrive despite obstacles.
