'Pump Rules' Star Scheana Shay Reveals How Ex-Husband Reacted To Pregnancy

Scheana Shayspoke to not one, but two of her exes after learning she was pregnant last year. 

During an interview with the Bravo Insider on April 6, the "Vanderpump Rules" cast member revealed that "both exes reached out" and spoke to her about her exciting baby news.

"I was surprised to hear from the other ex of season six [Rob]," Shay said of actor Robert Parks-Valletta. "[He] sent me a nice message when it was announced publicly. I wasn't expecting that."

While Parks-Valletta reached out to Shay after learning she and boyfriend Brock Davies were expecting a child in October of last year, Shay actually spoke to her former husband, Mike Shay, before the news was shared publicly on her and Davies' Instagram pages because she wanted him to hear the news from her.

"I had texted Shay the night before I announced just out of respect to let him know 'cause he had called me after he heard about the miscarriage and checked in," she recalled.

"Once I found out I was pregnant again I was like, I don't want him to like read that in Us Weekly," Shay explained. "I think I at least owe him that in a private message. So I had let him know before we announced."

Although Shay didn't immediately hear back from her ex-husband, Mike ultimately reached out to her the following day, after her news was shared with her fans and followers on social media. 

"He responded the next morning, which is when it came out. And just said he was so happy for me," she told the Bravo Insider. 

In addition to speaking after her baby news was shared, Shay also spoke to Mike recently. 

"We talked the other day, and he just asked how it was going, and that was really nice. And I mean, we've known each other longer than we haven't in our lives at this point. We met when we were like 15 years old", she said of their relationship.

While Shay has no ill will towards Mike, it is Davies who she's looking forward to starting a family with and during a separate interview with the Bravo Insider earlier this year, she gushed over how supportive Davies has been throughout her pregnancy.

"He's so supportive. But he also doesn't put up with my sh*t," Shay said of Davies. "And he challenges me. And he pushes me. And I've never really had that before."

"I'm used to being with someone more passive, who kind of bows down and lets me take the reins. And he's very much a type-A personality like myself. So we definitely butt heads at times, but in the best way possible," she added.

Shay and Davies' baby girl is due later this month.
