Travis Scott is legally free from his Miami Beach drama two months after his wild arrest.
The rapper, born Jacques Bermon Webster II, had two charges slapped on him in June following a yacht crisis. The remnant of his arrest was recently dropped weeks after his disorderly intoxication charge was removed.
Travis Scott is no stranger to legal battles, as he has faced multiple lawsuits for his tragic Astroworld Festival. His most recent arrest occurred earlier this month amid the Paris Olympics Games.
Travis Scott's Trespassing Charge Dropped Two Months After Arrest
A source close to the prosecutor's office confirmed Scott was officially free from his Miami Beach issues as his trespassing charge has been dropped. He was scheduled for a hearing in September to plead his case, but his counsel's argument seems to have worked.
Scott's attorney, Bradford Cohen, previously stressed that there were no clear "no trespassing" signs to determine his client was out of bounds; therefore, the trespassing charge wasn't applicable in his case.
"After arguing the motion to dismiss and the state realizing that there was no path to maintaining the charge, they decided to drop the case in its entirety," Cohen confirmed to TMZ, adding:
"Although not a serious charge, and one that should not have been filed, we are pleased with the result."
Scott Was Initially Let Go Before Cops Slapped Cuff On Him
The Miami Beach drama began in June, with The Blast reporting that cops had been called to a marina over a heated argument between Scott and a yacht staff. They initially escorted the rapper away, but he returned, insisting that he needed to retrieve something from the vessel.
Officers intercepted him and alleged he became hostile, leading to his arrest and booking at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center around 4:35 a.m. Scott secured his release with a $650 bond — $500 for the trespassing charge and $150 for disorderly intoxication.
Earlier this month, prosecutors dismissed his disorderly intoxication charge but pushed to have him face the misdemeanor trespassing charge in court. Surprisingly, he was arrested in Paris shortly after the charge was dropped.

Similar to his alleged argument with the yacht staff in his Miami case, The Blast reported that Scott was arrested in Paris for attacking a security guard. The incident occurred at the prestigious George V Hotel in the heart of the French capital.
The drama reportedly began as a verbal dispute between Scott and his bodyguard, but it escalated into a physical confrontation, with eyewitnesses calling authorities about the disturbance. Upon arrival, cops slammed Scott in handcuffs for assaulting a security guard.
The security guard in question was attacked after attempting to stop the heated argument between Scott and his bodyguard. Paris prosecutor's office confirmed the incident in a statement, claiming:
"The security guard had intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard. The Paris public prosecutor's office has referred the case to the 1st district of the judicial police."

Scott's troubles with the law did not stop him from enjoying the Paris Games as he made a splashy appearance at the 2024 Olympics. He attended a basketball game with a mystery woman, turning heads with their coordinated looks.
The rapper rocked his signature braids while decked in a varsity jacket, yellow t-shirt, and complimentary black shorts. He looked unfazed by his legal troubles, cheering loudly for Team USA during their thrilling semi-final match against Serbia.
Meanwhile, his date donned a similar casual ensemble for the game. She rocked a Team USA jacket over a black crop top and jean mini-skirt. She hid her eyes behind dark sunglasses and accessorized with a red purse.
Travis Scott Scored Another Settlement In His Astroworld Tragedy
Following the 2021 Astroworld Festival tragedy, numerous families of victims filed lawsuits against Scott and the concert's organizers. One of these plaintiffs included the loved ones of Madison Dubiski, who died in the catastrophic crowd surge.
The Dubiski clan settled with the defendants in May; however, a gag order kept the specifics of their deal confidential. Scott's rep, Ted Anastasiou, confirmed the news in a statement, saying:
"Mr. Scott is grateful that a resolution has been reached without the need for a trial. The confidential agreement will honor Madison Dubiski's legacy and promote improvements for concert safety."
