Why Gypsy Rose Blanchard's Latest Snap Is Leaving Fans 'Confused'

Earlier this year, Gypsy Rose Blanchard filed for divorce from Ryan Anderson, whom she married while in prison. Just weeks after, she confirmed her renewed relationship with her ex-fiancé, Ken Urker.

Then, earlier this month, Gypsy surprised everyone with the exciting news that she’s expecting a baby.

Since the big announcement, fans have been closely following every update from Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

Gypsy Rose served eight and a half years in prison for her role in her mother's murder, following claims of enduring years of abuse.

According to several reports, Dee Dee inflicted severe abuse and medical neglect on Gypsy, deceiving both her daughter and those around them into believing that Gypsy had various illnesses and disabilities, such as leukemia, muscular dystrophy, and developmental delays. As a result, Gypsy endured numerous unnecessary medical treatments and surgeries.

"I understand that with my past, there's gonna be a lot of people that kind of question if I even should be a mother or even have children in my care," Gypsy said on ABC when announcing her pregnancy. "I know that I'm not perfect. I know that I have made mistakes in the past."

"And I will probably make minor mistakes going forward, but at the same time, I do know right from wrong," she continued. "And learning from past mistakes is a growth that comes with time."

Since announcing her pregnancy, Gypsy has been keeping her fans updated with photo updates and fun videos showcasing her baby bump, but the latest snap has caused quite a stir.

The ex-convict posted a mirror selfie on Friday showcasing army green shorts, a white crop top, and white sneakers. However, what really drew public interest was the noticeable absence of a baby bump.

"I'm confused, I thought she was preggo," one social media user said.

"Your tummy is tiny," another pointed out.

"Gyp gyp you have that baby smooshed in there?" a third asked.

Others, however, didn't seem to care about what her body looked like as they couldn't help but notice the "glow" on her face and how she "slayed in that outfit."

In her pregnancy announcement, Gypsy reflected on her childhood and her experiences growing up with her mother, who is suspected of having Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

"It's not about anything other than the tiny little life that's inside you," she said as she got visibly emotional. "That you are now in charge of protecting and that little tiny life is a baby, a little tiny human that's yours and that you have to make sure you protect, you love, you take care of, and all of the things that I wish I could have had when I was little."

After she was released from prison, Gypsy initially moved in with her then-husband, Ryan, but after separating, she moved in with her dad and stepmom.

"I want to be kind, that my kids come to me for any kind of advice, just like my stepmother," she told People Magazine. "I have seen how she has parented her children — and I think she's a kick-a-- mom. She's supportive and not overbearing. She lets her kids find their dreams while also being able to pick up the pieces when those dreams fall apart sometimes — so that's kind of the mantra I want to live by."

Gypsy is now dating Ken, whom she was previously engaged to before she married Ryan. "It wasn't until I filed for divorce that I kind of really realized that that spark, that connection [with Ken] is even better than I expected, and we've grown a lot. I've matured. He's grown," she told E! News. "And so I think right now is the time in our lives that it's the right time, right place, right everything."

As confirmed in a statement provided to TMZ in April, Gypsy confirmed she has gotten back together with Ken weeks after she announced her separation from Ryan. 

“After reconnecting earlier this month, we realized that our love for each other is simply undeniable, and life is too short to not take a chance,” she told the outlet. “We have a history that made for the perfect foundation for a new beginning. We are together and in a wonderful place in our relationship. We know it is going to be a long road ahead but are excited for the future.”

The two announced they were expecting earlier this year.
