Sarah Michelle Gellar was in the mood for some storytelling as she stunned fans in a tight swimsuit on Instagram. Posting from a glam outdoor pool in January 2021, the Cruel Intentions star proved she's 100% still got it in her forties, but there was more to the post than her sensational figure. All smiles as she rocked a stylish bathing suit while posing from a pool ledge, Sarah told fans that this was "how it started," explaining that her post was a year-old throwback while detailing a fun girls trip to Mexico. Fans left the blonde over 140,000 likes for her share.

Choosing an unusual spot as she sat barely submerged and on a ledge separating a pool and a hot tub, the 47-year-old held up a beverage as she wowed in a black one-piece, opting for a one-shouldered finish complete with a slight frill detail, plus a bandeau finish shouting out '50s styles.

Showing off her trim legs and flashing hints of her cleavage, Sarah looked incredible in her likely designer bathing suit, flaunting a golden tan and looking like she was having the time of her life. Wearing shades and her light locks down, the I Know What You Did Last Summer star sat overlooking a gorgeous, ocean-view terrace, with her caption confirming her location.

Going #howitallstarted, the actress began: "This was a year ago today, on a girl's trip to Mexico. We snuggled on the couch watching movies, we swam, (we drank) we watched the sunset on the beach and most importantly we hugged a lot." Taking fans back to the start of the global pandemic, Sarah Michelle Gellar confirmed that were were "rumblings of COVID," but that nobody had any clue of the carnage or chaos that the global pandemic would bring.

"I’m looking at this pic today, not in sadness but as my #mondaymotivation to do everything in my power so we can all get back to that place. (Ok well maybe not that amazing rented house in Mexico- but you know what I mean) When we can hug our friends, see our loved ones, and not live with the heavy weight most of us are carrying with us. We can do this!!!"
