Maria Menounos Flaunts Braided Look After Filling In for Kelly Ripa

Maria Menounos is switching things up with a fresh new hairdo days after rocking a successful co-hosting appearance alongside Ryan Seacrest while she filled in for Kelly Ripa.

Menounos hit up social media this week to reveal her new look to fans, which included some well-deserved praise from the inspiration behind the change ... her hairstylist.

"Just a little braid action for ya. Also, a tribute to my other soul mate. @dimitrishair I’m so glad god connected us," the TV star wrote about her new look and celebrity stylist Dimitrist Giannetos.

42-year-old Maria Menounos revealed a long braid of hair that extended all the way down past her waist. Pairing her hip new hair with a casual look of ripped jeans and a simple white t-shirt, Menounos was looking fierce.

While continuing her praise of Giannetos, who has been known to style celebs like Britney Spears, Cindy Crawford and Paris Jackson, Menounos wrote:

"Love you so much. And of course, I love your braids. Oh and your glam. I still can’t believe people haven’t tapped your full talents. BUT I guess we all have more to give than most can see."

Dimitris Giannetos touts his friendship with Maria Menounos as inspiration when relocated from Greece to Beverly Hills, and the shoutout by the star drew an emotional response.

"Omg I love u so so much my angel! I’m so blessed and grateful God brought us together! Def my life wouldn’t be the same here w out u," Giannetos responded.

Fans loved the look by Menounos, as her social media photos racked up thousands of likes and tons of comments by fans with positive feedback on her new braid.

Maria Menounos is coming off a couple of big days as she filled in for Kelly Ripa on the longtime ABC morning show, "LIVE with Kelly and Ryan."

As we reported, Kelly Ripa took her annual 2-week Spring Break vacation to spend time with her hunky husband, Mark Consuelos, and Menounos was tapped to come in as a guest cohost. She did a fantastic job and generated tons of positive feedback from the audience, who loved change Menounos brought to the show alongside Seacrest.
