Struggling Actor Armie Hammer Reveals He Is Selling His Truck As He 'Can't Afford Gas'
Just a day before turning 38, Hammer took to Instagram to share an update on his life, revealing that he's selling his truck because he "can't afford gas anymore.
In the candid video shot in a CarMax parking lot, Hammer shared that he's been back in Los Angeles for a few weeks and has decided to part ways with his beloved truck, which he's owned for the past seven years.
He explained that this decision is part of his effort to start fresh, adding: "It's my birthday tomorrow. So, on August 28, I will be starting my birthday in a new car, in a new apartment, in a new life in Los Angeles."
"This is my truck," Hammer began, introducing the vehicle he purchased as a Christmas gift to himself back in 2017.
He spoke fondly of the memories he made with the truck, noting: "I have loved this truck intensely and taken it camping and across the country multiple times and on long road trips, and I've taken it on one last road trip... to CarMax."
The disgraced actor clarified that the video wasn't a commercial but simply an update on his life as he prepares to sell the truck.
"Since I've been back in L.A., I have put about $400 or $500 worth of gas in it and I can't afford it," he confessed. "I can't afford the gas anymore."

In the video, Hammer explained the truck's sentimental value: "I mean, this truck, it took the kids home from the hospital and all that stuff."
However, he noted that he is looking forward to his new start and has already purchased a much smaller car, joking that he will probably spend about $10 a month on gas from now on.
"Here's to new beginnings," he added. As Hammer panned the camera around the interior of his truck, a large bundle of rope stood out, a notable item considering his alleged interest in BDSM.
The "Death on the Nile" star then addressed his truck directly, expressing gratitude for the years of service it provided. "Thank you so much," he said to the vehicle. "'You have gotten me a long wa,y and I appreciate it all. I hope you take as good of care of the next person."
Hammer wrapped up by reassuring himself with the practical benefits of downsizing. "I just keep telling myself that parking is going to be easier and gas is going to be cheaper," he noted.

Armie Hammer Calls Cannibalism Scandal 'Bizarre'
The "Nocturnal Animals" actor was transitioning into a household name before several shocking claims from two of his former girlfriends, bordering on sexual assault allegations and his having cannibalism fantasies, sent his acting career into a downward spiral.
During a Sunday appearance on the "Painful Lessons" podcast, Hammer weighed in on the allegations that he has cannibalism fantasies.
"People called me a cannibal, and everyone believed them," he said, per Page Six. "They're like, 'Yep, that guy ate people.' Like, what? What are you talking about? Do you know what you have to do to be a cannibal? You have to eat people! How am I going to be a cannibal?! It was bizarre."
He Is 'Grateful' For The Allegations That Derailed His Hollywood Career
In the podcast, Hammer expressed his gratitude for the allegations, noting that they came at a time of his struggle.
He said there were "discrepancies in whatever it was that people said," adding that he's "now at a place in my life where I'm grateful for every single bit of it."
"I'm actually now at a place where I'm really grateful for it because where I was in my life before all of that stuff happened to me, I didn't feel good, I never felt satisfied, I never had enough, I never was in a place where I was happy with myself where I had self-esteem," Hammer explained.
