Miles Teller & Keleigh Sperry's 5th Anniversary Involved A Surprise Proposal

Miles Teller's wife has raised the standards for women by giving her husband the king treatment before their fifth wedding anniversary.

Keleigh Sperry revealed she gave her beau a romantic surprise for their relationship milestone, getting down on one knee to give him his "dream" present. The best part was the "War Dogs" star's adorable reaction.

Miles Teller and Keleigh Sperry have been couple goals since their romance began in 2013. The actor claimed he knew she was the one from the first meeting, which remains valid.

Sperry flaunted her romantic gesture on Instagram, sharing clips and pictures that captured Teller's stunned reaction to her proposal. The carousel began with a video of the big moment, with the actress-model in a white dress.

She got down on one knee, holding a jewelry box, and appeared to ask Teller, "Will you accept the key to my heart?" The audio wasn't clear, but her beau's confused "What is this?" and "What is happening?" could be heard.

One of the couple's pals behind the camera told Teller, "She's proposing to you," while others screamed and cheered. The actor still didn't get the memo, wondering what was happening while someone drove a boat into the frame.

"I got you a boat!" Sperry declared, earning a passionate kiss and a warm hug from a surprised Teller. He was seen smiling brightly while checking out the vessel in another video.

The slideshow continued with pictures of the boat designed with a "Happy 5th anniversary" sign. Sperry and Teller shared a kiss and more hugs by the vessel, with another snap showing the actor enjoying his new gift.

He also took their friends for a joyride on the boat, with the final image in the carousel showing the group posing with Sperry and Teller on the luxurious vessel. 

The actor's doting wife shared more details about her gift in the post's caption. She thanked those involved and revealed why she chose a boat as Teller's anniversary present, writing:

"An early 5 year wedding anniversary surprise. Miles always said it's not fair men don't get proposed to so cheesed out and did it for him with his dream boat."

Sperry's romantic gesture received hundreds of comments from fans and celebrities, who applauded her actions. Actor Michael B Jordan penned: "Love this for you!!" while TV presenter Erin Lim Rhodes declared: "GOAT WIFE SH-T!!!!"

"It's the 'I got you a boat!' for me!" a fan added, to which Sperry responded, "He couldn't process it." The supportive comments continued with an IG user teasing: "I didn't know 5th year was a boat.... congrats!"

Sperry's early anniversary surprise comes over a decade after she and Teller first met at a Grammys afterparty for the Black Keys in 2013. The actor raved about their first meeting in an interview with PEOPLE, claiming:

"I told my buddy, 'I think I'm going to be with this girl for a long time.'

In a separate interview in 2019, Teller recalled his instantaneous connection to Sperry, saying: "Keleigh had caught my eye early in the night, and we talked.I didn't think it went well, but after a few more attempts, I got her to dance with me."

"A week later, we went on a date. After we met, I knew she was the one," the actor claimed. The pair dated for four years before Teller popped the question during a safari in South Africa.

They eventually tied the knot in a private Maui ceremony followed by a sunset reception at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua Hotel in September 2019. The couple chose the Hawaiian venue as a nod to the Sperry family's annual vacation to the island.

Teller and Sperry had the honor of helping Taylor Swift shoot the music video for "I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version)." The Blast reported the process got the actor's wife emotional, given her love for the singer.

"When we were shooting the music video, Taylor played for Keleigh the 'All Too Well (10 Minute Version)' for the first time," Teller recalled, adding:

"Keleigh was just looking at Taylor in her wedding dress and Taylor and I dancing while she was listening to 'All Too Well,' the new one, and she was just bawling her eyes out."

Miles Teller certainly doesn't have to worry about Taylor Swift stealing his place in Keleigh Sperry's heart, given her latest romantic gesture.
