Lil' Nas X is breaking his silence on the controversy over his 'Satan Shoes' including Nike's ability to halt production of the sneakers -- calling the people complaining "crying nerds on the internet."

The 'Old Town Road' rapper took to Twitter to voice his frustration with the situation calling it a shot at his "freedom of expression" and promising to change it very soon.

Lil Nas X's statement comes on the heels of Nike filing a lawsuit against the company which manufactures the shoes claiming it violated its copyright with the swoosh.

“Sorry guys I’m legally not allowed to give the 666th pair away anymore because of the crying nerds on the internet,” the rapper tweeted.

He continued, "I haven’t been upset until today, I feel like it’s f##### up they have so much power they can get shoes [canceled]. Freedom of expression gone out the window. But that’s gonna change soon.”

It's unclear what the famous rapper plans on doing to change the situation, but it may include fighting Nike in court with the claim he has the right to modify the sneakers to "express" himself.

So, What Now?!

As we reported, Nike sued the company claiming it wants nothing to do with the Satan Shoes.

The "conduct has caused immense confusion about the source of MSCHF’s infringing shoes and tarnished Nike’s brand with an unwarranted association with satanism," they said in a legal filing.

Unfortunately for LNX, a judge agreed to halt the production of the shoes while the two sides can argue their cases in court. But, the issue for the musician is that the shoes were designed to be released at the same time as his new music video.

As we reported, Lil' Nas X collaborated with the shoe company to design pentagram decorated sneakers, which include a Bible verse that references the devil's fall from Heaven. Plus, they reportedly include a drop of real blood -- from an employee of the company!

In response, the company said they have "made clear that the Satan Shoes are a collaboration with Lil Nas X, not with Nike," -- adding, that customers are "well aware of MSCHF's approach to art."

The company produced 666 pairs of the custom shoes, and it's unclear how many shipped before the courts shut it all down. One thing is for sure, Lil' Nas X got his pair -- and is already sporting them!
