Could Dove Cameron's onscreen romance with musician Alexander 23 carry over into real life?
The actress/singer debuted her new music video for her song "Lazy Baby" on Friday, March 2. Fans were treated with an unexpected surprise when Dove rushed into the arms of her video co-star and shared a big passionate kiss at the end. We know that the former Disney star is a fabulous actor but her performance made fans question if there was a love spark in real life!

Dove and the hunky musician, Alexander 23 (who is actually 25), are not officially a couple, a source told JustJared, but they are getting to know each other.
“Alexander was actually cast as the love interest in Dove‘s video and they met for the first time on set,” JustJared's source said. “They’ve been casually dating for the past month and a half, though it’s not official just yet.”

Relationship or not, Alexander is extremely grateful to be a part of Dove's video. He shared a screenshot of the video on YouTube and expressed his feelings. "thx for giving me my big break," he wrote.
The 25-year-old musician signed to Interscope records in 2019 and released his second EP, "Oh No, Not Again!" in February. His first song, "Dirty AF1s," earned praise on several streaming services and was recognized as Apple Music's "Bop of the Week" in 2019. He certainly has had success, but Dove's video is a whole other level of exposure. Check out "Lazy Baby" below!

Dove has been single for a while and publicly announced that she and her ex-boyfriend, Thomas Doherty, separated with a tweet in December 2020. "hi all. In October, [Thomas] and I decided to part ways," she wrote at the time. "The decision was incredibly difficult, but we still have love for each other, and will remain friends. Thank you for allowing us our privacy in this time."
