Travis Kelce's Dad Ed Hit With Lifetime Ban On X

Ed Kelce, the father of Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce, is known for his active presence on social media. However, he’s currently locked out of his X account, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, and he doesn't know why.

The public found out about the ban after Ed Kelce shared an article alleging that arms dealers in Yemen are using X to sell weapons and conduct business in Sanaa, a city controlled by the Houthis, adding, “Arms dealers are free to peddle their wares on X, but I’m banned for life and they won’t say why, just a generic ‘Terms Of Service’ violation."

Since he is not allowed on X due to the ban, Ed took to Facebook instead to call out the social media platform, explaining that he shared the story on X because "frankly, I was pissed at Elon [Musk]'s trolls," per People Magazine.

"Let me try and clear something up here. I'm rarely on Facebook or Instagram. I get Google alerts in my email about articles mentioning the boys and remotely post them to Facebook for friends and family to see," he said, per the outlet. "... I rarely wrote anything on X; I just followed sports reporters."

The father of the Kelce brothers added, "I was active on X/Twitter from September to February, reading others' posts. Apparently the X Twits believe I posted something contrary to their rules in May or June 2023. Never happened."

"I'm guessing I was hacked, as the platform isn't all that secure," he continued. "My comments when I started this conversation were merely to highlight the hypocrisy of these social media turds."

Travis and pop star Taylor Swift started dating last summer. Their relationship went public a few months later when Taylor joined Travis's mom, Donna Kelce, at a Kansas City Chiefs game.

In the weeks that followed, the "Red" singer attended more NFL games to support her boyfriend and his team. As anticipated, Swifties flocked to the stadiums in hopes of catching a glimpse of the pop star. While the crowds were overwhelming, Ed said Taylor is "very gracious" and loves her fan base.

"Every game there’s people crowding outside the front of that suite trying to get a glimpse of Taylor, wanting to meet Taylor,” Ed told The Los Angeles Times.

"Taylor’s very gracious, but she can’t do everything," he added. "And she’s got security guys who don’t want her doing anything. That’s their job, and she’s smart enough to know, ‘I’m paying these guys to keep me safe. I should probably listen to them.’ “

"But if it was up to her, she’d be out there with everyone who wants her,” Travis's father added of his son's girlfriend.

Taylor reportedly began dating Travis in the summer of 2023, following the NFL star's public display of admiration for her. Their relationship was confirmed when Taylor was spotted cheering for Travis from the stands at a Kansas City Chiefs game in September 2023.

Since then, the couple has frequently supported each other at concerts and football games. “She’s had the time of her life performing all over the world but is looking forward to just nesting during her tour’s two-month hiatus,” a source revealed of Taylor's Eras Tour run.

The singer is now on a break, which will stretch into October, which aligns almost perfectly with the start of the NFL regular season. “She can’t wait to root Travis on at Kansas City Chiefs home games and really focus on him without having one foot out the door.”

Other sources have come forward, dishing on the romance between Taylor and Travis, with many claiming they are "forever."

“They really are very, very happy together,” another insider told People Magazine. “They’re very serious about each other, and the relationship feels different for both of them.”

“They have so much fun together, and it just works,” the source added. “It’s funny to their friends because at first everyone wondered what they had in common, but you realize how similar they are. They both wear their hearts on their sleeves and are all-in with everything they do, whether it’s with career, family or friends.”
