Gabrielle Union Shares 'Demure' Snaps From Recent France Getaway

Gabrielle Union, Dwayne Wade, and their adorable 5-year-old, Kaavia James just went on a dream getaway after their Paris Olympics adventure.

Wade was in Paris working as a men's basketball analyst for NBC during the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Following the big games, the family hit up Île Sainte-Marguerite in Cannes, where Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade enjoyed some vino and a romantic candlelit dinner, later making a splash with Kaavia in the gorgeous waters.

On August 15, the "Bring It On" actress shared a photo dump on Instagram, including snaps of her sporting an orange bikini, her husband in black swim trunks, and a group selfie with some of her friends.

"demure or nah?" she captioned the snap, to which her followers all agreed, "Yes, very demure."

"Well helllloooo beautiful people!" one user wrote. "Lifestyle awesome fun fun fun in the sun enjoy," a second said.

"Notice how we dove in the sea? Very demure-sty, very cutesy, very demure. Very mindful with it," a third commented.

Gabrielle Union also shared a hilarious snap from their French getaway: a pic of Kaavia serving up some sass at Île Sainte-Marguerite in Cannes. With a cheeky caption, “Them: Be casual, Kaaav,” Union poked fun at her daughter's anything-but-casual pose.

Wade and Union welcomed Kaavia through a surrogate in November 2018. Their blended family also includes Wade's 17-year-old daughter Zaya and 22-year-old son Zaire, from his previous marriage to Siovaughn Funches.

In another behind-the-scene snap, the actress flaunted her curves while wearing a green and red string bikini.

One of the biggest things Union does to stay in shape is drink water. "It’s something that everyone has access to and it not only helps with your beauty, it also helps with your fitness and digestion," she told Elle in 2014 before saying that she spaces out her water intake and avoids drinking too much before bed.

"The best tip I was given is to try to drink half of it by noon and then just casually drink the other half until 6:00 p.m., after then it gets a little tricky," she said. "I’m about to go work out (it’s 11:30 a.m.), so I know I’ll drink a good 32 ounces in the workout alone. Just try and do as much as you can early."

She also talked about not restricting any type of food from her diet. “If I don’t feel like it, I don’t feel like it,” she told Us Weeklyin 2015. “I’m gonna have a margarita — I’m not gonna get the ‘skinny margarita,’ I’m gonna get the one with all the frickin’ calories. I’m gonna have a cheeseburger, I’m gonna have a pound of bacon, and then, maybe, the next day, I’ll try to pull it together. But I try not to be too crazy with it.”

In a video shared on her Instagram page earlier this month, Union, who was wearing a strapless orange bikini and cowboy hat, danced alongside her hubby, who wore a black tank top.

The couple got engaged in December 2013 and married in August 2014. After years of challenging fertility issues, including multiple rounds of IVF and “eight or nine miscarriages,” Union and Wade celebrated the arrival of their daughter Kaavia James Wade via surrogate on November 7, 2018.

“We are sleepless and delirious but so excited to share that, our miracle baby, arrived last night via surrogate and 11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days," Union wrote in an Instagram post at the time. "Welcome to the party sweet girl!”

Later in her Instagram Stories, Union playfully teased her husband by posting a video clip of the NBA player struggling on a paddleboard. “That moment when you realize that paddleboarding is hard asf,” Union joked in the caption.

The actress first crossed paths with the former Miami Heat star when they co-hosted a Super Bowl party on February 4, 2007. Despite their chemistry, the “Bring It On” star, who had recently divorced former NFL running back Chris Howard, said the event didn’t spark anything between them. Wade was also in the middle of ending his first marriage at the time.

Three years later, the two went official as they made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Summer Groove charity dinner in Hollywood, Florida, in July 2010.
