Cardi B is always very outspoken on social media and when she has something on her mind or there's a trending topic, she is never one to shy away from voicing her opinion. The latest comes in regards to the state of Utah and their restrictions with pornography. Utah governor Spencer Cox recently signed a bill that would have porn restrictions on restrictions on cell phones and tablets within the state. For Cardi, this did not sit right with her at all as she took to Twitter to discuss this.
Cardi Addresses Utah And Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
Here, Cardi also called out the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as well. She also responded to a fan who mentioned the state looks down on alcohol and tobacco as well.
"I respect everyone’s religion but Utah restricting porn and not regulating the disgusting things that happens in the FLDS .That cult is disturbing. I understand that .I will understand if they restrict porn because the state is very religious however they allow soo much disgusting things out there that they claim is part of their religion and that’s MOLESTING CHILDREN ...Look it up!"

Cardi Fans Agree With Her Takes On Utah's Porn Restrictions
Soon after Cardi got these tweets off, her supporters quickly agreed with her stance. They believed that a lot of these porn restrictions shouldn't be so enforced. At the same time though, many were not surprised due to the state of Utah historically having these views. Governors in the future would also possibly enforce this bill due to many in the state having the same beliefs regarding porn and the others mentioned by Cardi such as alcohol and tobacco.
Cardi Hit No. 1 On Billboard Hot 100 With 'Up' Single This Month
In early February, Cardi released her first single of 2021 and her first solo single since 2019 with "Up." This record debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as Cardi made history. This was the highest debuting solo female rap song since Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)" back in 1999. In March, "Up" finally hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart to give Cardi her fifth overall No. 1 song of her career. The last to do so was "WAP" feat. Megan Thee Stallion last year.
Cardi Performed At 63rd GRAMMYs
Cardi also trended in mid-March as she took the stage at the 63rd annual GRAMMYs in Los Angeles. There, she performed "WAP" for the first time ever with Megan Thee Stallion. She also performed "Up" there as well. For the WAP performance, it was loved by many but others tried to get the FCC involved as they believed that it was too sexual for TV. "WAP" ended up becoming certified 5x platinum by the RIAA in the US in March as well.
