Purple is the color of royalty… and the only color fitting for Madonna!
The 62-year-old icon put on quite the pretty display on Wednesday, March 31. Madame X posed for several glamourous shots decked out in so much purple that Prince, The Purple One, would blush. She wore a purple, full-zip, hooded Prada jacket, lots of necklaces, and a chic hat. The blonde beauty flashed her hoop earrings, about a dozen rings, a respectable amount of cleavage, and a freshly sparked joint… hey, it wouldn’t be a Madonna pic if there wasn’t a little controversy!
The legendary artist seemed to pay tribute to the late, great Prince in her post’s caption. “Purple Reign………….???,” she wrote alongside her smoking snaps. Of course, the caption is a play-off of “Purple Rain,” but it is also the name of a Prince tribute show in Las Vegas and an album by rapper Future. However, we are not sure if she is a big Future fan.
One of the photos included the star smoking what appears to be a joint (it was also a clever way to show off her grill). The star has been fairly open about what she smokes and even celebrated her 62nd birthday with a big spliff and a lot of weed.
The singer’s purple pics come just days after she made a splash online with some self-reflective and risque photos. Madonna posted some sultry snaps in black lace lingerie and showed off her dominating attitude. “And Now For A Moment of Self Reflection…………..Madame ❌,” she captioned the thumb-stopping photos. Her chain-adorned cap seemed like a crown as the queen demanded the attention of her 15.8 million subjects (followers). If nothing else, the photos gave the fans insight into what great shape the artist is in!
Madame X is the alter ego that she took up for her 14th studio album by the same name. It was released in 2019, but she continued to tour until March 2020. She was forced to cancel a few scheduled shows due to the pandemic. Now, she’s looking back a full year later, and it seems like she is a little anxious to get back on stage.
