The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department has concluded their investigation into the brutal car accident involving Tiger Woods, but claims they will not release the details due to privacy concerns for the PGA golfer.
According to reports, Sheriff Alex Villanueva announced during a press conference Wednesday that the investigation is concluded and a cause of the accident HAS been determined. But, he claims the department needs “permission” from Woods to release details of the report.
Of course, this makes no sense considering the same Sheriff claimed this was purely an accident and there is no reason to believe Woods was under the influence during the crash. In other words, if it was a simple explanation — why would there be privacy issues?

As you know, the Sheriff has been criticized for his comments following the crash — including calling it “purely an accident’ and saying there was no evidence of impairment.
At the time, according to the investigators, Woods said he didn’t remember driving in the minutes before the crash and was unconscious when the first person arrived on the scene. As we reported, investigators pulled records from the car’s black box but did NOT seek a search warrant for his blood samples.
“A cause has been determined, the investigation has concluded,” Villanueva said. But, he would not reveal details of their findings.

“There’s some privacy issues on releasing information on the investigation so we’re going to ask them if they waive the privacy and then we will be able to do a full release on all the information regarding the accident,” he continued.
Adding, “We have reached out to Tiger Woods and his personnel.”
“It’s completed, signed, sealed, and delivered. However, we can’t release it without the permission of the people involved in the collision,” Villanueva said.
So, What Could Be So Private About The Findings?!
There’s More…
Considering the investigators have already publically stated there will be no criminal charges against Tiger Woods — it makes no sense to no release the information.
Again, the only logical reason to hold back the information would be that it somehow involves medical information. As you know, Tiger Woods was arrested for DUI back in 2017, after he was found on the side of the highway passed out at the wheel. He checked himself into a clinic following the incident to help deal with prescription drugs.
In the weeks prior to the massive car accident, Tiger underwent a fifth surgery on his back.
It’s unclear if Tiger Woods will allow for the Sheriff to release the “private” information. Plus, it’s possible the media will petition the courts to release the documents in the case.
