Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis were spotted and photographed earlier this month shooting a scene on the beach for "Freakier Friday"—the highly anticipated sequel to "Freaky Friday."
As the photos continue to make their rounds on social media, Curtis has decided to speak out.
"OK. Because other outlets have posted it, I am going to take advantage of the intrusion of a paparazzi picture into the creative process of filmmaking," Curtis began in her Instagram post, shared on Thursday. "We have tried so hard to keep our story a secret and private until it's time for release, but once in a while, an image comes out, and it doesn't tell you anything about the story or about what's going on with the characters."
"But it does show the joy and fun that we had making 'Freakier Friday,'" she added.
Lohan commented on the post with three red heart emojis.
Behind-The-Scenes Snaps Of 'Freakier Friday' Filming
Lindsay Lohan was caught on set earlier this month in a green, floral wetsuit while shooting a scene for "Freakier Friday." When the cameras stopped rolling, she chilled next to her on-screen mom, Jamie Lee Curtis—who’s 65 and still bringing the heat!
During a break from filming a new beach scene, Lohan was seen with her toes in the sand, standing center stage, while Curtis took a seat on a log, waiting for the action to resume.

Jamie Lee Curtis Teases 'Freakier Friday' Plot
"Freakier Friday" officially kicked off production on June 24, 2024
“The movie is just freakier in all aspects. It’s funnier, and there’s more physical comedy. The switches are freakier,” Curtis previously told IMDb. “This one has more swapping.”
She continued, “I can’t tell you what it is, but I have a secret way of reminding myself [which character I’m playing], but I can’t tell you until you see the movie, or until we’re promoting the movie, and then you’ll know a lot more about the movie.”
Lindsay Lohan Talks About 'Freaky Friday' Sequel
Lohan also teased the upcoming movie, telling Entertainment Weeklythat "Things get crazier now."
"Anna is grown up now. She has a teenage daughter, so there's a lot going on in that relationship. Although Anna has calmed down a bit since she was a teenager," she said. "There's more physical comedy in this. Much more than the original. I love that. Put up a glass door and let me fake walk into it. Where do I get to trip?"
Earlier this year, she spoke to ABC, calling the film "Much freakier than you would expect."
"It's fantastic," she told the outlet about reuniting with the cast, which includes Chad Michael Murray, Mark Harmon, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao. "We all just have so much fun and it's so great to have that on set. You just always really want to have a good time. So it's a lot of love, a lot of fun, a lot of laughs and it's a great experience right now."
The highly anticipated sequel is gearing up for a 2025 release.
