Drake is getting ready to release his sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy,” this year. He’s since been recording more after delaying the original January release. The worldwide superstar ran into some issues in his hometown of Toronto on Tuesday though as a woman reportedly tried to get into his mansion, according to TMZ. This was initially revealed by Toronto police. This woman is also said to be the only suspect at the time who attempted to get inside the property.
Police Arrested Woman Before She Could Enter The Home
According to the TMZ report, police were called at 5PM local time as they arrived quickly to the scene. She was also arrested before even attempting to get inside of Drake‘s luxury home. Police also added that nobody was injured at the scene and an investigation was soon launched. Sources close to the situation also added that Drake was inside the property at the time. The original reports tried to claim that a woman had a knife to try to get inside and used a metal pipe to try to hit a guard.
Drake Made Billboard Hot 100 Chart History This Month
Back on March 5, Drake released his “Scary Hours 2” EP which contained three tracks. These were “What’s Next,” “Wants and Needs” featuring Lil Baby, and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” feat. Rick Ross. What’s Next leaked a week before the EP but fans were still excited to hear this again. This project as a whole made Billboard Hot 100 history as What’s Next, Wants And Needs, and Lemon Pepper Freestyle all debuted on the chart at No. 1, 2, and 3. Drake became the first artist to reach this historic milestone.
‘Scary Hours 2’ Also Posted Huge First Week Numbers
Due to the massive success of the three records on “Scary Hours 2,” the final first-week numbers for the EP as a whole were very impressive. It reportedly sold 970,000 total units for that week. Due to the short length of this project though, it was not able to chart on the Billboard 200. Nonetheless, it helped Drake fans a lot as they have been waiting patiently for the “Certified Lover Boy” album to finally be released.
Drake Has Been Dominant Over The Last Year As Usual
While “Scary Hours 2” did a phenomenal job statistically and pleased music fans worldwide, this wasn’t all that Drake has accomplished over the last year. He’s been taking over the industry with constant hits as in 2020, he had another No. 1 single in “Toosie Slide.” That soon appeared on his “Dark Lane Demo Tapes” mixtape the next month. In August, Drake released his “Laugh Now Cry Later” single featuring Lil Durk which debuted at No. 2 on the Hot 100. Drake was also featured on Future‘s single, “Life Is Good,” which is currently 8x platinum in the US.
