Jeezy and Jeannie Mai have been together since early 2018 as they have become one of social media's favorite couples. The two reportedly decided to take their relationship to the next level in April 2020 after the two got engaged. Jeezy proposed to Jeannie in Los Angeles at the time. The Atlanta rapper originally planned to take her on vacation to Vietnam in April but that was halted due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, the two had a special date night in LA, per PEOPLE.
Jeezy And Jeannie Apply For Marriage License In Georgia
According to TMZ,Jeannie and Jeezy applied for their marriage license in Georgia on Monday. This was revealed by the Fulton County Court Clerk. The two were present together as they are closer to tying the knot. For the marriage license, Jeezy and Jeannie would have to get married within six months or apply for the license again. Many believe that the wedding could come soon since the one-year anniversary of the proposal is quickly approaching.

Jeannie and Jeezy are getting closer to becoming a married couple as fans wonder what type of wedding will take place this year. After news broke that the two applied for their marriage license, social media took to Twitter to give the couple their support. Long-time fans of Jeezy were also excited to see the rapper become a family man after seeing him shine for over 16 years now in the industry.

Jeannie Previously Dealt With Concerning Health Issues
Last winter, Jeannie detailed how she had to deal with being diagnosed with epiglottitis and going through a parapharyngeal abscess. She told PEOPLE that she isn't a quitter and that that's not in her. Jeannie's health issues did cause her to withdraw from "Dancing With The Stars." Having to do that at the time reportedly made her feel "devastated." Part of her treatment plan consisted of steroid shots which helped her also maintain her schedule for her career.
Jeezy Released His 12th Album Last Fall
For Jeezy, he's been very consistent in regards to his music releases. Last March, he put out his seven-track "Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision" EP with long-time producer, Shawty Redd. In November, Jeezy released his 12th studio album, "The Recession 2." That was the sequel for his 2008 project. The Recession 2 was led by the "Therapy For My Soul" single as the album debuted at No. 19 on the Billboard 200 chart. Other appearances on there included Rick Ross, Ne-Yo, Demi Lovato, and more.
