Selena Gomez Slays In Black Mini Dress For 'Only Murders In The Building' Season 4 Premiere

Selena Gomez stole the spotlight on the red carpet at the "Only Murders In The Building" Season 4 premiere as she wore a striking little black dress, making a bold statement alongside her costars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Meryl Streep.

In the fourth season of "Only Murders," Mabel (Gomez), Charles (Martin), and Oliver (Short) will be on a quest to uncover who killed Sazz (Jane Lynch), whether the real target was Charles, and why anyone would want to harm them.

With the premiere of the new season just days away, Selena Gomez and the rest of the "Only Murders in the Building" cast hit the red carpet to promote Season 4.

The Emmy-nominated star made a dazzling entrance in an LBD black mini-dress covered in sequins. The dress featured a crisscross halter neckline and lace trim on the bodice. She paired the outfit with metallic silver pumps with a unique silver and red bow detail.

Keeping her jewelry simple, she chose diamond drop earrings, and four silver rings spread between her hands.

The Rare Beauty mogul kept things elegant and refined for her makeup look. She styled her hair in a sleek, low bun, highlighting her smoky eye makeup and nude matte lipstick.

Gomez posed for the camera with her costars, Martin Short, who wore a sleek black suit paired with a white dress shirt and a red patterned tie, Meryl Streep, who stunned in a chic black and white maxi dress, accessorizing with her signature black-framed glasses and white heeled mules, and Steve Martin, made a distinctive impression in a blue plaid blazer and blue jeans, finishing his look with suede lace-up sneakers, a white dress shirt, and a tie.

Zach Galifianakis, Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy, Molly Shannon, Kumail Nanjiani, Richard Kind, and Melissa McCarthy will appear in the upcoming season as well.

The co-creator of the hit series previously shared with The Hollywood Reporter that Season 4 will probably delve into the theme of consequences—though what those consequences will be remains a mystery.

“I think the idea of what you create is a thing you put out to the world, and sometimes you can’t be prepared for the repercussions of what potentially the world does with your thing, and how they feel about it,” he said earlier this year. “That’s a challenging line to walk, and sometimes you have to face it in that way."

He added, "So, the podcast and everything else that’s happened, and what it all means, and what it could have been meaning all along. That’s a really interesting world to look at for these three who stepped in that way.”

Ahead of the Season 4 premiere, Martin couldn't contain his admiration for his "Only Murders in the Building" co-star Gomez, revealing that she had already become a wonderful young lady before he and Short began working with her on the Hulu series.

"When we first met Selena, she was already self-possessed and dignified and sophisticated," he told E! News at the Los Angeles premiere of "Only Murders in the Building" Season 4. "So, if anything, we've just seen that creep up a little bit, as it should with maturity."

He added, "But she was already there—a real person we admired and respected."

Gomez, who has starred in "Barney," Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place," and "Selena + Chef," was nominated for her very first Emmy thanks to her role as Mable in "Only Murders In The Building."

“Acting has, and will always be, my heart,” she recently told The Hollywood Reporter. “There’s so much that I want to do and that I haven’t even scratched the surface of, and it’s exciting to me.”

"I was just honored to be on such a show that was recognized," she added of her Emmy nom. "I feel so lucky, because there are so many great shows, and to even be considered, to have an opportunity like this, is such an honor. In my mind, I feel like I already won."

The fourth season of "Only Murders in the Building" is set to premiere on Tuesday, August 27. The Hulu original will be released weekly, with a new episode airing every Tuesday throughout its 10-episode run.
