Joey Lawrence Accused Of Adultery Amid Divorce From Wife Of Two Years

Joey Lawrence is now battling infidelity allegations amid his divorce, and the source seems pretty convincing! The actor has been accused of engaging in illicit affairs with an actress he starred alongside in an upcoming film.

Joey Lawrence and his estranged wife, Samantha Lawrence, are currently in the middle of a divorce just two years after their marriage, and this allegation may escalate their situation.

Alves estranged husband, Edward Rider, dropped the bomb in new documents from their own divorce in New Jersey.

Rider claimed that he discovered the affair between Joey and Melina in late March and then included it in his divorce filing documents in late July, a few weeks before Samantha headed to court.

The affair allegedly went down in California and may mean it happened during the filming of "Socked In For Christmas," which was filmed in Hollywood.

While Joey got a role in the movie, Melina wrote it and also has an acting credit to her name. The actress' estranged husband is convinced the affair was not a one-time thing, as he claimed it went on "at various other times and places."

Interestingly, Joey made a cameo on Melina's Instagram page on the set of their upcoming movie, but she has since deleted it. The deleted picture, as shared by TMZ, was captioned:

"We had a great team, that’s for sure @joeylawrence Miss you everyday @allisonelliottbeauty! See you soon @ricardochavez23 #filmmaking #christmasinjuly."

Although Joey and Samantha are now estranged, The Blast reported that their love story, like this new allegation, also began on a movie set in 2020.

The ex-couple starred in the Lifetime network movie My Husband's Secret Brother, directed by Joey's brother Andrew. Joey admitted their relationship was his first time dating someone he had worked with before.

"That was just very, very much out of the ordinary for me. I was her lover and also her killer (in the film)," declared the actor in 2023.

But all of that did not matter because they had a lot of trust and were super comfortable working together on screen, so he had nothing to worry about. Samatha also acknowledged the manner in which they met in an Instagram post when the movie premiered in 2021.

"#MyHusbandsSecretBrother ... will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the movie that led me to my future hubby. That amazing October morning... driving to work — about to start a new project, having no idea that God had even bigger things in store," wrote the mom-of-one.

The estranged couple tied the knot two years after their meeting at a romantic outdoor wedding at Temecula Creek Inn in California in 2022, surrounded by their friends and families.

Samantha subtly updated the public on her marital situation back in June when she posted a cryptic message on her Instagram page accompanied by pictures of their daughter, Dylan. The post, which seemingly referred to the end of something, read:

"Not everything you lose is a loss. Some things are freedom. Some things are a second chance. Some things are a miracle in disguise. Some things are a detachment long-needed, a clarity brought to blurry eyes. Some things are an intervention."

Although the post is now over ten weeks old, fans flocked to the comment section to connect the dots and leave their opinions since news of their divorce filing broke out.

The divorce filing proved the fans right, as Samantha confirmed that they have separated since June. However, in her bid to move on from their broken union, Samantha made some specific demands.

The actress asked to restrict the court's powers to award either spousal support and Dylan's sole physical custody. She added that Joey's access to her would remain limited till she turns 3, after which she can spend up to 2 nights a week at her father's house.

However, Samantha added a caveat to her demands on Dylan's proposed stay at Joey's house. The actress stated that non-family members must not be allowed near their daughter unless she (Samantha) grants permission.

She also added that Dylan's time with Joey must not exceed two nights, and the arrangement can only change when their daughter gets old enough to consent to an extended visit.

Sadly, the third time was not the charm for the 48-year-old who had been divorced twice! Joey filed for dissolution of his marriage to his second wife, Chandie Yawn-Nelson, in 2020 after 15 years as a couple.

The pair began dating as teenagers but lost contact after a while and reconnected to tie the knot in 2005. However, their marital troubles began in 2018 when Joey filed for bankruptcy after he found himself neck deep in over $400k in debts with a total of $43,907 in assets.

The ex-couple finalized the divorce in February 2022 and settled for joint legal custody of their two children. They listed July 14, 2020, as the official date of their separation.

This new allegation may change the entire tone of the divorce, as things were already getting tense between the estranged couple, especially over their daughter.
