Bethenny Frankel Is Separating Herself From 'RHONY'

Bethenny Frankel is moving on from her lucrative role on "The Real Housewives of New York City" and preparing for her new series on HBO Max, "The Big Shot With Bethenny." 

During a March 27 interview with Fox News, Frankel, who parted ways with the Bravo reality series in August 2019 after starring on eight seasons, admitted that while she has long been known for her role on "RHONY," her latest project is sure to separate her from the popular show.

"My business success has separated me for a long time which is why I was able to come back [to 'The Real Housewives of New York City'] the first time and get a hefty paycheck and still maintain my own identity," Frankel explained. "But this next chapter has separated me."

"I've absolutely proven myself," she continued. "I have a successful brand, and there's just a lot more clarity of vision and I'm really living more authentically in my business and entertainment and media endeavors."

Although Frankel sold Skinnygirl Cocktails in 2011, she still oversees the rest of her popular brand and when HBO Max's "The Big Shot with Bethenny" premieres, contestants will be getting a chance to work with her at the company, which includes a number of products, such as shapewear, food, home decor, and salad dressings.

According to Fox News, the series' first season will include eight episodes and will follow competitors as they embark on "different projects each week and see who can stand the test."

While speaking of the difference between her new show, "The Big Shot with Bethenny," and her former series, "The Real Housewives of New York City," Frankel appeared to shade the "RHONY" and her cast mates when she said that her HBO Max project allows her to function with "more integrity" than she did when interacting with her ex-co-stars.

"It’s being more true to myself than working in an environment that is great financially but maybe not reflecting who I really am as a person," she explained.

"I've been talking about how important the word 'no' is and saying 'no' to things that aren't good for you, like clutter or stress, is actually saying 'yes.' It's a distinction that needs to be made," Frankel continued.

In addition to her upcoming series on HBO Max, Frankel is currently in the works on a new book that will include "all my Bethennyisms and a lot of business advice."

A premiere date for "The Big Shot With Bethenny" has not yet been set.
