In the heartfelt video, the actress first expressed gratitude for the love and support she received after she revealed the news of her breast cancer diagnosis on her podcast. The actress got candid about her health battle to emphasize the importance of regular health checkups, especially mammograms.

In the emotional Instagram video, the 43-year-old thanked her followers for their overwhelming support during this challenging time.

"I wanted to do a quick video to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart and my entire family for the enormous outpouring of love and support and encouragement you have sent me since I announced my breast cancer diagnosis," Fishel stated in the video.

The TV personality explained that her decision to share her diagnosis publicly was motivated by the importance of raising awareness about breast cancer and the critical need for early detection. 

Fishel emphasized "how unbelievably important it is" to discuss cases like hers, particularly to encourage early detection.

The 'Boy Meets World' Alum Promoted The Importance Of Mammograms

During her Instagram video, Fishel revealed that her breast cancer was detected at an extremely early, "noninvasive" stage, classified as stage zero. She credited this early detection to her commitment to regular mammograms.

"The only reason we found it that early is because I prioritized myself into making sure I got a mammogram, and I know how important that is now firsthand," she emphasized.

Fishel also noted that many of her followers have since scheduled their mammograms, underscoring the impact of her message.

Encouraging Both Women And Men To Stay Proactive

Fishel extended her message beyond just women, urging men to "stay on top" of their health screenings. She emphatically stated, "If you have those yearly exams that you're supposed to be getting, go and get them."

The mother-of-two also stressed the importance of routine exams, noting that while no one wants to hear that their test results are abnormal, early detection can make a significant difference, as it did in her case.

"Nobody ever wants to get news, 'Hey, your test results were abnormal.' Nobody wants that. But if you've stayed on top of it, hopefully, God willing, you can find out you have something when it is stage zero like I did," she advised.

The 'Girl Meets World' Star First Shared Her Diagnosis On Her Podcast

Fishel first disclosed her diagnosis during the August 19 episode of her podcast, "Pod Meets World," which she co-hosts with Rider Strong and Will Friedle. The Blast noted that during the episode, she detailed what her diagnosis was all about, saying:

"I was recently diagnosed with DCIS, which stands for ductal carcinoma in situ, which is a form of breast cancer."

She explained that her cancer was found very early and is technically at stage zero. Fishel also shared that she was diagnosed with "high-grade DCIS with micro-invasion" before disclosing her plans for surgery and follow-up treatment.

Her co-hosts expressed their support, with Strong noting the prevalence of breast cancer among people he and his wife know. At the same time, Friedle expressed gratitude for Fishel's early detection, adding, "You might have some sucky days, but we're here for you."

Outside the spotlight and the concerns of her recent diagnosis, Fishel finds stability in her marriage to Jensen Karp, whom she first met in high school. 

The comedian has undoubtedly been a steadfast support for Fishel throughout this challenging period. They have been married since 2018 and have welcomed two children together. 

According to PEOPLE, Karp has not only collaborated with Fishel on various creative projects but also maintains a diverse career spanning music, comedy, and television.

Karp's diverse career trajectory spans several entertainment industries, beginning with his early days as a rapper. Known by his stage name, Hot Karl, he started his music career as a child. As Karp transitioned from music to television, he found success behind the scenes on TBS's "Drop the Mic."

Beyond his work on Drop the Mic, the TV personality made a mark on the radio as a host on KROQ 106.7 FM in Los Angeles. He also appeared as a caricature of himself on the 2015 VH1 reality parody series "Barely Famous," created by Sara and Erin Foster.
