Jeremy Renner is ready to say goodbye to his L.A. pad where he bounced back from that near-fatal snowplow accident.

On January 1, 2023, "The Avengers" actor was involved in a harrowing snowplow accident at his Nevada home near Reno. Renner was operating a PistenBully snowcat to clear snow after a heavy storm when he was struck by the vehicle. Reports indicate he was attempting to help a family member whose car was stuck in the snow when the snowcat began rolling.

While trying to re-enter the driver's seat to stop the snowcat, Renner was run over, resulting in severe injuries, including blunt chest trauma and orthopedic damage. He was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition and underwent emergency surgery.

The Hollywood star is simplifying his life as he recently listed his Laurel Canyon estate for $12.9 million, per the Wall Street Journal.

Renner snagged this mid-century gem back in 2012 for about $4 million, but now it’s up for grabs. The 9,000-square-foot spread boasts six bedrooms, a large screening room, and even a music studio. The open-plan living room, complete with a bar, leads out to a pool with waterfall features.

Though the MCU star is also involved in real estate investments and flips, he shared that the property near Laurel Canyon was his personal residency. When he purchased the house, he had just wrapped a five-year streak of film projects and was eager to settle into a place he could call his own.

Renner was drawn to the bungalow for its unique architectural charm and was captivated by the neighborhood’s tight-knit feel, noting that many residents had lived there since childhood.

“You typically don’t get a lot of neighborly love in Los Angeles,” he said, according to the WSJ. “This was a wonderful little micro-community.”

The Marvel actor poured about $5.5 million into renovating and expanding the home, more than doubling its size while preserving its original Midcentury aesthetic. As a musician and songwriter, he added a custom music studio to the property. He also installed solar panels that now provide around 90% of the house’s energy needs.

“I did all that stuff because I was going to stay there,” he said. “It was kind of a forever home.”

Last year, fans nationwide were deeply concerned for Renner after hearing of the frightening snowplow accident he endured. According to the accident report, obtained by CNN, "The parking brake was not engaged and would have stopped the snowcat vehicle, which runs on a track, as it started sliding sideways after the 52-year-old 'Avengers' star used it to pull his nephew’s truck out of snow."

“The Pistenbully snow groomer began sliding causing Renner to exit the vehicle without setting the emergency brake,” the report added. “Although the Pistenbully had some mechanical issues, it is believed based on our mechanical inspection that the parking brake would keep the Pistenbully from moving forward."

Renner recently appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," where he candidly shared that he was "pretty banged up" from the near-fatal accident. He revealed that he sustained 38 broken bones and now has a leg composed mainly of metal.

"It was brutal, dude," Renner recalled, but despite the pain he endured and the injuries he suffered from, he said there have been "wonderful lessons" that came from the accident.

"I mean, I can go on and on about what happened for the 45 minutes of being on the ice, but the real learning lessons from it -- there are so many great gifts of being tested to your limits, right? Your physical limits, your spiritual limits, emotional limits," Renner told Fallon. "I won't have a bad day for the rest of my life. It's impossible. There's that gift."
