Kate Beckinsale Debuts Bold New 'Strawberry Whipped Cream' Hairdo

Kate Beckinsale is turning heads with a brand-new hairdo.

The 51-year-old actress flaunted a striking bubblegum pink hairstyle while attending a Pomeranian party on August 18. Beckinsale’s long, vibrant locks were pulled back with a black headband, making her new look pop even more.

Kate Beckinsale shared photos of the hair transformation on Instagram the following day.

Beckinsale’s hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, also shared a snap of her bold new color, dubbing the shade “STRAWBERRY whipped cream,” and her new eye-catching hue is getting everyone talking.

"Cuteness overload," one Instagram user wrote.

Beckinsale’s stunning bubblegum pink locks are the talk of the town, and it turns out the pro behind the look used L'Oréal Paris Feria Smokey Pink color. Hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, who tagged fellow stylist Rob Scheppy, shared the details on Instagram.

The pink hair is something that refuses to fade. It first made waves with the rose gold craze in the mid-2010s, then soared again in 2022 with Barbiecore, and now it’s making a major comeback in 2024 thanks to the Kardashians.

Before all that, pink hair was iconic with stars like Katy Perry, Paramore’s Hayley Williams, and, of course, P!nk.

Beckinsale recently made waves on Instagram with a cheeky video showing off a provocative look: a pink, off-the-shoulder crop top paired with matching bikini bottoms, black platform boots, and a hairnet tied into a bow.

The actress, who revealed in March that she had a hospital stay, used her latest fashion statement to address her critics. Beckinsale took aim at those who get "really upset" that she doesn’t always opt for "age-appropriate" attire.

“Let’s have a toast for the d-uchebags. Let’s have a toast for the a--holes. Let’s have a toast for the sc-mbags.”

“I watched my stepfather die quite shockingly, my mother has stage 4 cancer, and I lost a lot of weight from stress and grief, quite quickly and then I was in the hospital for six weeks because the grief had burned a hole in my esophagus which made me vomit copious amounts of blood,” Beckinsale posted, per Variety. “I found eating very hard."

She added that she had “just worked very very hard on a movie that was actually quite triggering because it also involved the theme of the death of my father.”

The actress was just five years old when her father, Richard, died of a heart attack in 1979. She also lost her stepdad, Roy Battersby, in January after he suffered "a massive stroke" while battling two forms of cancer.

In recent months, Beckinsale has been focused on family, bringing her mother and late stepmother from the U.K. to stay with her in Los Angeles. "Kate has been caring for her parents, who both have serious illnesses, for most of the year," a source told DailyMail late last year. "She brought them to her home in LA and has made looking after them her number one priority."

On March 11, Beckinsale took to Instagram to celebrate U.K. Mother’s Day with a heartfelt post featuring pictures and videos of her mother and dogs. Among the family snaps, she also shared some less cheerful moments from a hospital bed.

"Happy birthday and UK Mother's Day this last week to my incredible mother. Thank you to those that love us and support us when it's (expletive) and try to make sure there are some bits that aren't," she wrote at the time. "And for looking after our dogs when we can’t and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us. And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love."

Just a month after sharing hospital bed photos, Beckinsale took to Instagram with a new post as she sported a graphic T-shirt reading "tummy troubles survivor," hinting at her recent health issues.
