Gypsy Rose Blanchard Shares Never Before Seen Videos From Prison Release Party

Gypsy Rose Blanchard was released from prison in December after serving eight and a half years behind bars for her involvement in her mother's murder.

As The Blast reported, the now 33-year-old pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, in 2016. Her case has been widely covered as it involved complex psychological factors, including years of abuse and manipulation by her mother.

Ever since her prison release, Gypsy Rose Blanchard has been spending quality time with her family and her newly announced boyfriend, Ken Urker, whom she is expecting a baby with.

Gypsy Rose was the victim of severe abuse at the hands of her mother, who was believed to suffer from Munchausen syndrome by proxy. This psychological disorder involves a caretaker, in this case, Dee Dee, making someone ill or fabricating illnesses to gain attention, with Gypsy Rose being the unfortunate target.

For years, Dee Dee deceived family, neighbors, and doctors, falsely claiming that Gypsy required a wheelchair and a feeding tube.

After spending years behind bars for her role in the murder of her mother, Gypsy Rose has been adjusting to "normal" life. On her first night out of prison, Gypsy checked into a budget hotel with her now estranged husband, Ryan Anderson.

After catching up on some much-needed rest in a real bed for the first time in eight and a half years, Gypsy spent her afternoon hitting the shoe stores, grabbing a bite at McDonald's, and celebrating a belated Christmas.

Since then, her life has been a whirlwind--announcing her separation from Ryan in March, releasing her new Lifetime series "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up," getting back together with her ex, Ken Urker, and announcing she is expecting her first child.

Nearly eight months after she was released, Gypsy obtained never-before-seen video footage from her prison release party thrown by her dad, stepmom, and stepsister.

"Never seen videos from my release party 12/28/23," she captioned the video, shared to her TikTok page. "More like a blooper reel lol." The clip of Gypsy playing with a virtual reality game system was seemingly taken by Gypsy's "family friend," per a comment left on the post.

The former inmate is spotted in the living room wearing a headset. "It’s like throwing a paper airplane," she explained, mimicking the motion with her hand.

Later in the video, Gypsy is seen posing with her dad and stepmom in front of gold balloons that read "Welcome Home."

On July 9, Gypsy, who is thought to be a victim of Munchausen by proxy, took to her YouTube page to share some surprising news.

"I’m happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant. Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January 2025," she said at the time. "You know it's still going to be a long journey ahead, but I'm up for it. I feel a shift in myself."

"When I found out that I was pregnant, none of anything else mattered; the drama on social media, the feud between creators and me, and all of that drama, it just all faded. It didn't matter anymore," Gypsy later added. "All that matters is that I'm healthy, the baby is healthy, and the relationship with Ken is healthy."

Last weekend, Gypsy and Ken threw a gender reveal party, where they announced they are having a girl.

“The moment y’all have been waiting for... It’s a girl!” Gypsy said in an Instagram post alongside a video from her gender reveal party. “Ken and I are over the moon and thrilled to start our family. Huge thanks to our friends, neighbors, and families who joined us today! And a big shoutout for all the love and support we’ve received!”

While fans are celebrating Gypsy's news, there’s skepticism from some. The short time between Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s split from her prison-married husband, Ryan, and her new relationship with Ken has led to questions about whether Ken is truly the father.

Ryan recently said he is being forced to take a DNA test.
