'RHONJ' Star Jackie Goldschneider Talks Skipping Lake George Trip, Future With Teresa Giudice

Jackie Goldschneider opened up about being absent from a recent episode of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" while appearing on the March 25 episode of the "Mention It All" podcast.

After opting to skip the cast's trip to Lake George late last year after her cast mate, Teresa Giudice, spread a rumor suggesting her husband, Evan Goldschneider, was up to no good at his gym, Goldschneider admitted that she has no regrets when it comes to her decision to take a break from production.

“I don’t wish I was on the trip. I love this show, but I do have a real life that I also love, and I needed to make sure that the show was adding to my life and that I really wanted to be there," Goldschneider explained.

After her marriage to Evan was spotlighted during the premiere episode of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" season 11, Goldschneider found herself reassessing whether or not she wanted to be a part of the Bravo reality series.

Looking back, she has no regrets about the much-needed break.

"I don’t feel bad about taking a step back to do that... To me, my integrity was worth more than the off chance that Bravo was gonna say, ‘Okay, take a hike if you don’t go on the trip,’" Goldschneider explained. 

"To me," she continued, "to go on vacation with a woman who had just dragged my husband and had just called me the most vicious name in the world thirty times the day before, that just wasn’t happening. I wasn’t going on vacation with that person. I wouldn’t do it for a reality show, I wouldn't do it in my real life.” 

While Goldschneider and her husband eventually moved on from the drama surrounding what Giudice had said, Giudice would not do the same. 

"We decided we’re done with this rumor -- If she wants to keep it going, you do you, Teresa. We are done with it and I was moving on," Goldschneider explained.

Goldschneider then said that her husband previously enjoyed his time on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" and added that she did her best to get him back to a positive place.

Looking forward, Goldschneider said she's fine with crossing paths with Giudice and noted that she wasn't going to let her cast mate ruin her time on the show. 

"I’m okay with being in the room with somebody and being cordial and not having a vicious fight, so that was my mindset. I’m not gonna let one person ruin the rest of my season," she shared.
