Katy Perry Throwing Pizza In Bikini Deemed Not 'Respectful'

Katy Perry sparked outrage on Instagram earlier this month when her pizza throwing was deemed "unrespectful" and "unprofessional as an artist" by fans. The singer, 39, let her hair down for a wild night of partying at Ibiza's Pacha nightclub, where she danced the night away and even threw pizza slices into the crowd. Sharing footage of herself to Instagram, Katy wound up mass-slammed, with many thinking that she could have been more thoughtful. Users were horrified, with many also calling the whole thing a "waste of food." Katy does not appear to have addressed the backlash.

Carrying a drum-like piece of equipment, the mom of one highlighted the weight loss she's made 2024 headlines for, also upping the ante as she flashed her G-string bikini bottoms while rocking her red skirt low-slung.

Appearing popular with the partyers beneath her in the second slide, Katy used one hand to hold a takeout box of pizza while using the other to throw the crowd a slice. Standing on a raised level and casually tossing a slice as she went a bit wild child, Katy showed off her curves in her teeny glitter bikini top, opting for a triangle finish, plus specks of silver on red. Closing her gallery with a rearview snap, the pop sensation once again flashed her thong, this time raising another slice of the pie up, quite likely before throwing it to the crowd.

"If you want to rave you must presave," a caption read, likely giving a nod to Katy's next track. On July 11, she released her "Woman's World" single, with her 143 album due for release next month.

Gaining likes was a fan who appeared dismayed at Katy's behavior. "Such a shame throwing pizza to her fans is so unrespectful and unprofessional as an artist," they wrote. Over 900 others agreed.

Meanwhile, over 2,000 users liked a reply reading: "Stop throwing pizza into the crowd! It’s a waste of food." A popular reply also brought in Katy's recent weight loss as users continue to allege that the star used weight loss drug Ozempic to slim down. "The person on ozempic throwing pizza at people?! Wow that’s ironic and supercilious," the user responded.

Katy likely has bigger fish to fry. Her comeback single, already controversial before its release due to Dr. Luke's involvement, has been deemed a total flop. To add to that, the star is now under investigation for filming a music video in a "protected" National Park area without permission.
