Maria Menounos Shares Amazing Breakfast Before Gig On 'LIVE'

Maria Menounos is going to be powered up for her job filling in for Kelly Ripa as co-host on "LIVE with Kelly and Ryan." The journalist and media personality took to Instagram this week as she was prepping to head over to ABC studios in New York, but first, she had to fill up on some delicious NYC eats. It was a big surprise to fans of the popular morning show on Monday as Menounos was revealed to be co-hosting with Ryan Seacrest while Kelly Ripa took some days off.

Maria Menounos did not mess around when it came to the most important meal of the day as she showed off her heaping plate of French toast on social media. The star could hardly keep her mouth closed while preparing to chow down on the thick-cut toast, which of course, included an assortment of syrups and butter. There were some strawberries on the plate for color, but Menounos was not wasting her time on the fruit.

"Yeah French toast baby – Heaven in my mouth!" she exclaimed in a caption.

The French toast breakfast obviously worked because Maria Menounos was shot out of a cannon during her co-hosting gig on "LIVE" opposite Ryan Seacrest. Fans also took notice and praised the star on her second day of hosting the morning show.

"Great show with Maria and Ryan, fresh energy much needed for the show. I started my work later just to watch her," one fan wrote on Instagram.

"Just love her...she’s such a positive person," another online critic declared.

It's not easy filling the shoes of Kelly Ripa, so props to Maria for winning over the people!

While Maria Menounos fills in on "LIVE" with Ryan Seacrest, Kelly Ripa has not yet revealed why she is taking time off. The veteran TV host has been silent on social media amid her disappearance from the ABC morning show, which is a good indication she is probably spending time with her family.

Ripa regularly goes quiet on her social channels while away on vacation, and some fans think she and hubby Mark Consuelos may have jetted away to a tropical location to enjoy Spring Break.

We'll have to wait and see if Kelly Ripa comes back this week or Maria Menounos continues her co-hosting duties!
