The Death Row Records co-founder gushed about his interest in the upcoming Olympics in a virtual interview with ET. A snippet of his conversation was shared on X, capturing his bold declaration, "I'm trying to try out for the Olympics in 2028."

He explained that he was aiming for the archery event, a sport he began practicing from a young age. "I actually started playing around with archery in junior high," the entertainer began, adding:

"I stopped for a while, and my son bought me a setup. I don't know if it's for my birthday or Father's Day or something like that. So I have it set up in my backyard."

The clip showed the men in an outdoor space, presumably the archery set-up Dr. Dre mentioned in his recent interview. He patiently coaxed Big Boy into firing the arrows, doing such a great job that the radio host decided to teach onlookers.

Dr. Dre's interest in the 2028 Olympics might have something to do with his participation in this year's games. He performed at the Olympics closing ceremony with Snoop Dogg, one of the Paris event's torchbearers.

Besides carrying the prestigious torch, Snoop Dogg actively contributed to NBC's Games coverage and scored a slot in the closing ceremony. He invited Dr. Dre onstage for an exceptional performance of their hit tune, "The Next Episode."

Their performance was a tribute to Snoop Dogg's Long Beach roots and the 2028 Olympics, scheduled to take place in Los Angeles. Other artists at the closing event included Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and H.E.R., per Variety.

Dr. Dre has much to be grateful for, especially his life, after experiencing multiple health scares in 2021. The Blast reported that he addressed the near-death experience in March, noting that it started with a pain behind his right ear.

"Next thing you know, I'm blacking out. I'm in and out of consciousness, and I ended up in the ICU," he recalled, "I was there for two weeks. I'm hearing the doctors coming in and 'You don't know how lucky you are.'"

According to the record producer, he suffered three strokes during his hospitalization for a brain aneurysm and high blood pressure. He claimed the experience deepened his appreciation for life and helped him that he wasn't in control.
