Kamala Harris is not letting Donald Trump's recent comments about her slide as she fires back with facts.
The Democratic Party's presidential nominee clapped back at the former POTUS' scathing allegations about her past political roles, stressing that she successfully served as a U.S. senator and attorney general of California.
Kamala Harris was criticized in a viral interview between Donald Trump and Elon Musk on X, in which the former president made controversial statements about his opponent, including her resemblance to his wife.
Kamala Harris Slams Donald Trump's Allegations About Her Achievements
During his conversation with Musk, Trump implied that Harris couldn't be a good president when she failed at her previous political posts in California. However, the VP begged to differ in a fiery response on X, reminding her opponent about her impressive record.
"I've served as a U.S. Senator, an Attorney General, and a district attorney and courtroom prosecutor. In those roles, I took on predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, and scammers who broke the rules," Harris claimed.
She seemingly implied the former president fell in the same category as these criminals, adding, "I know Donald Trump's type." This tweet marked Harris' second response to her opponent's viral interview, with her campaign issuing a joint statement with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

Following Trump and Musk's interview on X, Harris' official campaign page on the platform, Kamala HQ, bashed the pair in a lengthy statement. "Our statement on... whatever that was," they captioned the post.
The joint statement written on behalf of Harris and her running mate Walz began: "Donald Trump's extremism and dangerous Project 2025 agenda is a feature, not a glitch of his campaign."
They claimed this issue "was on full display for those unlucky enough to listen in tonight during whatever that was on X.com," arguing that Trump didn't care about middle-class citizens. In their words:
"Trump's entire campaign is in service of people like Elon Musk and himself-self-obsessed rich guys who will sell out the middle class and who cannot run a livestream in the year 2024."
What Did Trump Say About Harris?
The drama between Trump and Harris began on X Spaces, with several controversial comments from the former POTUS. The Blast reported he criticized his opponent's political record and how it would impact her presidential role.
"She's going to be worse than him," Trump declared, referencing President Joe Biden. He claimed that all efforts must be implemented to prevent anything from happening under "stupid people like Biden."
Trump argued that Harris allegedly wreaked havoc when she occupied other top posts in the past, saying: "She is a San Francisco liberal who destroyed San Francisco, and then as attorney-general, she destroyed California."
The Former POTUS Claims Harris Can't Be A 'Tough' President
Besides slamming her political record, Trump implied Harris wasn't "tough" enough to stand her ground against other world leaders. In his words:
"There's some real tough characters out there. And if they don't think the American president is tough, they will do what they want to do."
Trump's arguments didn't end there, as he seemingly blamed the increased immigration on Biden and Harris's reign. "We're already overwhelmed. Elon, we're overwhelmed," Trump remarked, adding:
"You had to see the news tonight about New York — New York, and I love that place, and what they're doing to it is horrible. What they're doing to it, and all the courts do is they try and focus on Trump."
Donald Trump Says Kamala Harris Looks Like His Wife
During his conversation with Musk, Trump made a shocking comment about Harris' Time Magazine cover. He claimed she resembled his wife in the picture, saying, "She looked very much like our great first lady, Melania."
It was unclear which of Harris' features Trump thought resembled his wife; however, he believed the magazine portrayed his opponent as "the most beautiful actress ever to live." He also implied the media favored her over him by giving her a "free ride."
Since President Joe Biden exited the presidential race and endorsed Kamala Harris as his replacement, Donald Trump has spared no effort in criticizing his new opponent. Who will come out victorious at the end of this race?
