Dolly Parton Gives Fans A First Look At New Rhinestone Lipstick Line

Get ready to add some of Dolly Parton’s sparkle into your beauty routine because Dolly Beauty is getting ready to launch.

The country music icon’s debut makeup collection is on the way, starting with a dazzling lineup of rhinestone-encrusted lipsticks that channel her iconic, glittering fashion moments.

Dolly Parton shared an Instagram post on August 13, teasing her upcoming makeup line, and fans cannot wait for it to drop.

Dolly Parton is still working "9 to 5" despite being 78 years old. Earlier this year, the country music singer announced that a new Broadway musical is in production and will debut in 2026. She also revealed a brand-new wine collection, Dolly Wines.

Now, it seems that the "I Will Always Love You" artist has something else up her sleeve. "I feel glamorous on the inside, so I want to look like it on the outside… something is coming," she teased in the caption of a new Instagram post shared on August 13.

While some fans initially speculated that Dolly Parton's latest Instagram snap might have been a sneak peek at her upcoming Broadway show (she’s sitting in a director’s chair with her name on it,) others are zeroing in on the red lipstick she's holding and the tag for Dolly Beauty in her caption.

This could only mean one thing-- a new makeup line!

Clicking on the Dolly Beauty tag leads to an Instagram profile with just one post—the same one Dolly shared. The page only has 3k followers, which makes it look brand new and just launched.

"THIS IS NOT A DRILL," one user commented, tagging three of their friends. "OMG YES (I don’t even wear makeup)" another said, adding a laughing emoji.

"Finally! I’ve been waiting," a third expressed.

"I CANNOT WAIT AND WILL BUY EVERYTHING," another social media user said.

Before teasing her new lipstick and makeup line on her Instagram page, Dolly Parton spoke with WWD, teasing her upcoming project.

“I’ve always said I never leave a rhinestone unturned,” she said of Dolly Beauty. “I’ve wanted to be pretty my whole life like most girls, especially country girls that have a dream of glamour. I started creating my own little makeup things at home when I was just a kid, and I’ve been known for wearing makeup—usually too much—for years.”

According to the announcement, Dolly Beauty's debut product will be the Heaven’s Kiss lipstick collection. Priced at $20 each, the lipsticks will come in four dazzling shades and feature packaging adorned with sparkling rhinestones.

Fans can expect the essentials for the upcoming lipstick line: classic reds, pinks, and neutrals that reflect her belief in providing a versatile range for every makeup lover. In true Dolly fashion, she conjured up the names for her lipstick colors using puns from her hit songs: Jolene Red, Honey Plum, Rosebud, and Birthday Suit.

“I like to name my products after songs,” she told the outlet. “It’s important to create things that people that do wear makeup can enjoy. You have to have a variety of colors.”

In 2019, Dolly revealed some of her daily routines, including what she typically does regarding makeup and hair.

“First thing I do in the morning, after I have my breakfast and do my spiritual work, is put on my makeup and fix my hair, and I can do my makeup in 15 minutes," she told ITG. “If I go anywhere, I go in full disguise. I'm afraid somebody will say, ‘Oh, did you see Dolly? She looked like hell.’ I'd rather them say, ‘Did you see Dolly? She's so overdone.’”

“I wear makeup, and it gets a little bit thicker every year," she continued. "I was kind of influenced by this town tramp. She used to walk down the street, and she had all this yellow, bleached hair, red lips, and real tight clothes. When I was little, I used to just love her when I would go to town. I would say, ‘Isn’t she beautiful?’ And people would say, ‘Oh, she ain’t nothin’ but trash.’ And I said, ‘That’s what I want to be!’ I was always going to wear that makeup.”

Dolly Beauty isn't the first project that Dolly Parton has launched. In 2020, she released her own fragrance line. She has gone on to announce her baking line, a new cookbook with her sister Rachel, and the recent Dolly Wines.
