Steve Harvey Tried To Find Something Wrong With Michael B. Jordan But Admits He Can't

Steve Harvey admitted that he tried long and hard to find something wrong with his daughter, Lori's boyfriend, Michael B. Jordan, but ultimately came up short!

The multitalented and highly entertaining tv personality appeared on Monday, March 22nd's episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," where he said that he couldn't find anything wrong with Jordan... but he certainly tried! "I have tried not to like him," Steve replied when his good friend Ellen asked about his youngest daughter's relationship with "The Black Panther" star. Harvey confessed to getting rid of all Lori's previous boyfriends, but he hopes this one is different.

"I have tried to find something wrong with him that I could dig in and go — 'cause I done got rid of all of 'em. All of 'em. Some of them snuck in the back door on me and lasted a lot longer than I wanted it to," he said about getting rid of Lori's previous boyfriends.

"But this guy, is such a good guy, man," Steve said about Michael. "He is one of the nicest guys. I've met his father. I've sat up with him, we've talked for hours. I just can't find nothing wrong with him!"

The radio host said he "hopes it lasts" because he usually feels pretty good about his ability to "take" Lori's past love interests but admitted that Michael might be a different case. "I can't whoop him," Steve said. "Most guys I say I can jump on 'em and take 'em out, but he just looks like a real a**-whooping in the making. So I'm just hoping they make it."

For the record, Lori previously dated rapper Future, and we are pretty sure Steve can't "take" him either... no offense to Steve!

Harvey told everyone to pump the breaks when referring to Michael's crown as PEOPLE's 2020 Sexiest Man Alive when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel last month. "First of all, let's be clear about something. He is a nice guy," Harvey told Kimmel at the time. "He is not the sexiest man alive to me. At all." When Jimmy asked him who was the sexiest man alive, he simply replied, "me!"

He also joked about how Michael went all out for Valentine's Day and rented out an entire aquarium. "Good luck homie 'cause Valentine's come every year," Steve joked. "So I don't know if you know how this works or not, but I don't know how you gonna top that, but good look partner."
