Health Scare

The beachside joy comes in the wake of a significant health scare for Lexi. Holden recently revealed that her daughter had been hospitalized due to a serious E. coli infection. Lexi had been experiencing bloating and stomach cramps for several weeks, which were initially attributed to stress from preparing for her A-Levels.

Holden disclosed to The Sun that Lexi's condition worsened, prompting medical tests that confirmed the presence of a strain of E. coli known as VTEC. "For about three weeks, Lexi had been complaining of bloating and stomach cramps," Holden explained. "She was not happy at all and in quite a lot of pain with her tummy."

Concern And Recovery

The situation became alarming when Holden received calls from government officials seeking information about Lexi's food intake and potential sources of contamination. Lexi, one of 113 reported cases of the infection, spent five days in the hospital and has been undergoing further tests since her discharge.

Holden described the initial antibiotics as ineffective and expressed concern about the possibility of sepsis, which she found "terrifying." Despite these challenges, she is relieved that Lexi is now recovering, though she continues to receive medical care. Holden even had her pets checked for potential sources of infection, reflecting her anxiety over the situation.
