Despite having valid reasons to slam the police, Rapper T.I. opted for peace following his bogus arrest.

The "Whatever You Like" singer recently addressed his latest run-in with the law, noting he has no plans to retaliate against authorities. He has no beef with the arresting officers because they were simply doing their jobs.

T.I., born Clifford Harris, was arrested on August 4 after cops mistook him for a suspect with the same name.

T.I. opened up about his feelings after his mistaken identity arrest when TMZ spotted him in Beverly Hills on Thursday, August 8. He dismissed the incident as something not worrying about, noting he was "too blessed to be stressed."

According to T.I., his arrest was water under the bridge because the officers who detained him were simply following protocol. He stressed that he had learned to control his emotions, choosing to embrace the present rather than worry about the past.

The rapper's calm reaction to the situation is noteworthy, given that authorities ruined his Sunday plans with their bogus arrest. T.I. was dragged out of Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport on a warrant for a man bearing his name.

The drama between T.I. and authorities stemmed from them mistaking him for another man named Clifford Harris. The individual was wanted in Baltimore, Maryland for scathing crimes.

Cops might have been too excited to find a man with the same name because the abuse complaint against the suspect was filed months earlier, on June 13. The wanted man was accused of violent behavior against a woman, from stalking to gun allegations.

However, T.I. was the wrong person as the suspect reportedly weighed 205 pounds while he weighed 165 pounds. But this crucial detail wasn't unveiled until after authorities arrested the rapper.

Because the warrant for Clifford Harris was issued out of state, T.I.'s arrest triggered an automatic extradition hearing. His lawyer, Steve Sadow, immediately called the Clayton County Sheriff's Office to secure his release.

The attorney claimed he got T.I. released two hours after a judge reviewed and dismissed the extradition order since he didn't match the suspect's weight. Fortunately, the incident wasn't another legal drama for the rapper.

T.I. and his wife, Tiny, made waves in July after an Air Force member, identified in court documents as Jane Doe, sued them for sexual assault and battery. She claimed the famous couple attacked her in 2005.

As reported by The Blast, the lawsuit against T.I. and Tiny claimed they met the Air Force member at a club in 2005. The rapper allegedly offered her a drink before inviting her to join them at a hotel in Los Angeles.

The plaintiff, 22 at the time, claimed T.I. gave orders and "instruction for how the remainder of the night was going to go." But she noticed something was off after she got into the shower with the couple.

The woman suspected she had been drugged because she felt lightheaded and eventually threw up. This convinced her that T.I. had spiked the drink he offered her at the club, with the lawsuit alleging it was "for the purpose of sexually assaulting and battering her."

The alleged victim claimed T.I. and Tiny's actions resulted in "severe emotional, physical, and psychological injury, including humiliation, shame, guilt, economic loss, economic capacity, and permanent emotional distress."

T.I. and Tiny, through their attorney, fired back at the sexual assault lawsuit with a motion to dismiss it. They claimed the Air Force member willingly participated in their bedroom activities before suddenly changing her mind.

The couple's rep stressed that they honored the woman's "expressed desire to leave the encounter, go to the bathroom, sit on a couch until the morning, and then leave." They also played the statute of limitations card, noting the incident was decades old.

Since T.I. isn't planning on fighting his mistaken identity arrest, he and Tiny can focus on closing the chapter on the sexual assault drama.
