Jennifer Lopez's inner circle has reportedly had reservations about Ben Affleck amid reports of the couple's marital woes.
According to a new report, the singer's friends allegedly don't like the "Argo" actor, who has also been accused of causing a rift in her relationship with other close pals.
This revelation comes amid claims that Jennifer Lopez is "furious" with Ben Affleck for delaying filing for divorce.
Jennifer Lopez's Friends 'Never Liked' Ben Affleck
The Hollywood power couple's romance has been making headlines for months, and now sources close to the singer reveal a different rift between Affleck and Lopez's friends.
According to Page Six, an insider close to the "Atlas" actress revealed that her longtime manager, Benny Medina, and her close friends did not like Affleck but supported their relationship regardless.
"The two of them can't stand each other. They don't get along, and there's still bad blood," a source said about Affleck and Medina's relationship.
Lopez and Medina began working together in the late 90s, but their relationship fell off in 2003, with multiple sources alleging that Affleck had a hand in it. The pair picked up where they left off when the 55-year-old "Hustlers" star reunited with Medina shortly after her first romantic stint with Affleck ended in 2004.
They've since gone on to build a working relationship and have been pictured several times going to the gym together, as well as taking leisurely bike rides in the Hamptons, where Lopez had stayed for weeks.
The Couple's Rekindled Romance Affected Jennifer Lopez's Relationship With Her Friends
According to the news outlet, another source disclosed that a couple of Lopez's friends preferred to keep mum over her reunion with Affleck.
The embattled couple previously dated from 2002 to 2004 before rekindling their love story in July 2021, after Lopez split from her former fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, in April that year.
Medina, for example, was said to have "kept his mouth shut" so as not to ruffle feathers with Lopez.
"His attitude was, 'I'm gonna say nothing.' [There] was no, 'Good for you,' but also, [he] wasn't negative," the insider claimed.
"He knows her and he knew she was going to marry him no matter what, so what's the point?" the source added.
To compound issues, Lopez's rekindled romance with the "Gone Girl" star reportedly fractured her relationship with longtime friend Leah Remini, who didn't get an invite to the singer's wedding. The fallout reportedly ensued because Remini advised Lopez to consider the reason they broke up the first time before entering a relationship with the Oscar winner again.
"Because he is selfish and not fully committed as a partner. J.Lo was so mad she cut off all ties," they claimed.
Another source told Page Six, "No one, except [Lopez's] mother, likes Ben Affleck. He's a triple-A a--hole."
Jennifer Lopez Feels Ben Affleck 'Humiliated' Her
The "Ain't Your Mama" crooner reportedly feels "humiliated" by Affleck as he delays filing for divorce in a bid to "protect" her from more embarrassment.
"She's furious," a source told Page Six. "He has humiliated her. He was the one who initiated getting back together."
The insider told the news outlet that Affleck "humiliated her because she made a big deal that he's the love of her life," adding, "They just had two weddings two years ago. This is some kind of a record, they're not young kids."
Insiders now claim that the former lovebirds have been giving each other the silent treatment, which has stalled their divorce process.
Another source told the news outlet that Lopez was seemingly blindsided by their marital woes two years after walking down the aisle in a lavish wedding ceremony.
"This was definitely not on her bingo card," a close source said. "She would've scratched someone's eyes out if they told her [they're] splitting up less than two years in."
Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Were Not Built For Something Permanent
Amid news of an "imminent" divorce, the couple's marriage is now being branded as an "elaborate" attempt at gaining closure after their first romantic stint failed.
According to sources, Lopez and Affleck got "caught up in the moment," but now that "they've turned the page on all the unfinished business from over 20 years ago," they have concluded they weren't meant to be.
"They've seen things through to the end — and they know for sure now that they are not built for the long haul," an insider told Page Six. "No further unanswered questions."
"They've seen all they need to see, and it's over. In the end, it's gonna be the most elaborate and expensive exercise in closure ever," they added.
The Singer Is Shopping For A New Home In Los Angeles
Lopez recently toured a $22 million home in Beverly Hills, California, after checking out a $68 million mansion just 15 minutes away from her and Affleck's marital home, which they are trying to sell.
Lopez wore a white button-up top tucked into wide-legged, striped trousers for the house hunt. She completed the look with sunglasses and hoop earrings, styling her hair in a low ponytail.
The "On The Floor" singer completed the sale of her New York City apartment for $23 million. Reports claim that their lack of communication has hampered their divorce proceedings.
For his part, Affleck has already spent $20.5 million on a new home in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles.
