Brad Pitt 'Still Very Much Cares' For Injured Son Pax Despite His Brutal Father's Day Message

Brad Pitt has had a strained relationship with his six children since he split from their mother, Actress Angelina Jolie.

However, according to a new report, the actor still cares about his son Pax Jolie-Pitt and is receiving updates about his recovery following his recent e-bike crash. Pax was released from the ICU and is now recovering while surrounded by his mother and five siblings.

Brad Pitt is now said to be monitoring Pax's recovery despite having no contact with him and his other adult kids.

Despite being estranged from his adult kids, Pitt still cares about his family and is receiving updates about his son Pax, who is in the hospital after a nasty accident.

A source revealed to People magazine that the actor is concerned about his 20-year-old son and hopes for his speedy recovery.

The source said, "He hasn't had any contact with Pax in years, but he still very much cares."

Pax has been in the hospital since he was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles on July 29. According to police reports, he was riding an electric bike without a helmet when the car collision occurred.

An eyewitness who contacted 911 shared their testimony of the experience. They said, "His mouth was filled with blood. When [he] was trying to speak, I saw a little tiny stream of blood coming out of the mouth."

Pax is one of six children Pitt and Jolie share. His siblings include Maddox, 22, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

In 2020, Pax publicly expressed his feelings toward his father by going on a social media tirade about Pitt lacking "empathy."

"Happy Father's Day to this world class a-shole!! You time and time again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person," Pax wrote, adding a picture of Pitt receiving an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. "You have no consideration or empathy toward your 4 youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence."

"You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell. You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want, but the truth will come to light someday," Pax continued, per the Daily Mail. "So, Happy Father's Day, you f–king awful human being!!!"

An insider previously shared details of how the family received the news of Pax's hospitalization.

They shared that Jolie was "shocked and worried when she got the call about the accident" and has been by his side with his siblings ever since, "supporting Pax as best as they can."

The source told People, "Pax is still recovering. He's uncomfortable and will need further treatments. Still, he was very lucky. It could have been much worse since he didn't wear a helmet."

Another source revealed that the 20-year-old was finally released from the ICU on August 5.

They said, "He suffered complex trauma, and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy. Pax and Jolie are deeply grateful for the quick and life-saving action of first responders and the outstanding medical care he received."

Pitt has not been in contact with his adult kids for years, and their rocky relationship became public when Jolie filed for divorce and sole physical custody in 2016.

A source told People, "He has virtually no contact with the adult kids. His engagement with the younger kids is more limited in recent months because of his filming schedule."

Despite the visitation granted by their custody agreement, Pitt still has little contact with his younger kids, who seemingly have no interest in their father.

They haven't been spotted out with the "Bullet Train" actor in years and, like their older siblings, have stuck by their mother's side.

Pitt's relationship with his kids has become so fractured that most of them have openly rejected his last name.

Upon turning 18, his biological daughter Shiloh started the legal process to drop "Pitt" from her name, preferring to be known as "Shiloh Nouvel Jolie."

Shiloh's sister, Vivienne, also chose to use only Jolie as her last name in the playbill for the Broadway play "The Outsiders," where she worked alongside her mother.

However, it's still unclear if Vivienne has legally changed her last name. In 2021, US Weekly reported that their brother Maddox no longer uses Pitt "on documents that aren't legal and instead uses Jolie."

Pitt and Jolie's other daughter, Zahara, also used only Jolie during her introduction to the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College six months ago. A video of her introduction went viral on social media at the time.
