The royal family has experienced ruptured relationship dynamics among its members in recent years, and new revelations suggest that Prince William always had one with Queen Camilla.

The Prince of Wales reportedly "couldn't stand" his stepmother at first, as she was seen as the woman who "destroyed" King Charles III's marriage to his mom, the late Princess Diana.

Prince William and Camilla now appear to have a cordial working relationship, but the same cannot be said for his younger brother, Prince Harry, who accused her of sacrificing him on her "personal PR altar."

Prince William reportedly had a strong disapproval of his stepmother following the breakdown of his parents' marriage.

Things appear to have settled well between them as they both deal with the ailing health of their respective spouses, but royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News that it had not always been like that.

"Prince William initially couldn't stand Camilla," Fordwich said. "[But] he has come to appreciate her steadfast dedication to duty. They have become closer and have bonded over their spouses coping with cancer treatment."

He continued, "Camilla has a calming influence on King Charles. Prince William appreciates that she also makes his father happy."

The recent report comes after Christopher Andersen, author of "The King," told Fox News that the pair didn't immediately hit it off when they first met as the Duchess of Cornwall took some time before she could gain the courage to stand up against him.

Camilla has widely been accused of shattering Charles' marriage to the late Diana after the pair began an affair in the late 70s and early 80s while married to their respective partners.

"Camilla was so terrified at the prospect of meeting William that when she finally met him at Clarence House, she was trembling like a leaf and needed a vodka and tonic afterward," Andersen claimed.

He added, "That seems perfectly understandable since Camilla — and the world — knew she had destroyed the marriage of William's parents, Charles and Diana."

The author, Andersen, explained that William didn't wear his heart on his sleeve when he first met her as he kept a poker face.

"William was very cordial to Camilla, and their relationship has always been civil," Andersen said. "That is in part because Camilla has been shrewd enough not to ever try to instruct William in any way. The fact is, despite her earthly reputation, Camilla is not a mom type. She was never a hands-on mother with her own children and certainly would not have interfered in Charles' relationship with his children."

"Camilla is certainly no disciplinarian," he added. "That said, she is also (known) to whisper in the king's ear about what she sees as William's and Harry's shortcomings."

Experts have claimed that Camilla doesn't fold her hand and watch the heir to the British throne disrespect her husband, King Charles.

Charles and William reportedly clash over several matters, as their leadership styles are said to be different, but Camilla seemingly knows where to draw the line for the Prince of Wales and doesn't shy away from doing just that.

"Prince William hasn't always seen eye to eye with his father," British broadcaster Helena Chard told Fox News of the father-son relationship dynamic. "They are regularly at loggerheads as they differ opinion-wise on so many topics. Their leadership style also differs greatly."

She went further to explain that William "thinks things through," "acts quickly," and is "less emotional," unlike Charles, who is "more emotional," "finds it harder to make decisions," and "leads with his heart."

"Queen Camilla, King Charles' rock, always makes sure that Prince William is aware of his possible disrespect towards his father where necessary. [But] Prince William and Queen Camilla get along fairly well now. They both respect each other's strengths and realize that when it comes down to it, although Prince William and King Charles disagree on certain protocols, they all need to support each other," Chard explained.

"They have to keep the ship afloat even through ill health," she added.

Although William and Camilla's relationship has seemingly improved over the years, the same cannot be said of Harry, who cast aspersions on her in his 2023 memoir "Spare."

The Duke of Sussex, who has been embroiled in several lawsuits with the British press, accused Camilla of leaking private conversations to them in a bid to refine her public image following her long-time affair with Charles.

Harry also recalled having "mixed feelings" about his father's marriage to Camilla because he feared he'd lose the king to her.

"I knew without question that this marriage would take Pa away from us. Not in any real sense, not in any deliberate or malicious way, but nevertheless - away. He was entering a new space, a closed space, a tightly insular space," he wrote in his memoir.

Harry angrily penned that Camilla had "sacrificed me on her personal PR altar," but he was forced to sweep his emotions under the carpet when he "saw Pa's smile and it was hard to argue with that, and harder still to deny the cause."
