The legal drama between Andy Cohen and Leah McSweeney continues with a new motion to halt the case.

The "Watch What Happens Live!" host recently petitioned the court to hold McSweeney's toxic work environment and discrimination lawsuit. He wants the case to be paused until his dismissal motion has been heard.

Leah McSweeney slammed Andy Cohen, Bravo Network, and other defendants in a heated lawsuit earlier this year. She accused them of using her alcohol struggles for ratings, among other scathing allegations.

According to a newly filed letter, Cohen and the other defendants in McSweeney's lawsuit implored the court to delay the proceedings. They asked not to be forced to produce discovery in the case until a judge rules on their dismissal petition.

"[Leah's] disability-related claims are based on the (false) allegations that Defendants discriminated against [Leah] by encouraging her to relapse on alcohol during filming of The Shows," their argument obtained by In Touch read.

The defendants stressed that they never ordered "cast members to say offensive comments to her on-camera." They also did not decline to cast her on future seasons of "The Real Housewives of New York City" because they prefer cast members who drink.

Cohen and the other defendants, through the attorney, argued that "[Leah] only seeks money damages, and therefore would not be prejudiced by a stay." The letter continued:

"By contrast, absent a stay, the parties—and non-parties—would be required to devote substantial time and resources to discovery, despite the likelihood that Plaintiff's claims would be dismissed."

"And the fact that [Leah] has not served discovery requests in the five months since she filed the Complaint belies any suggestion of urgency," Cohen's team noted, stressing that their petition to pause the proceedings should be granted.

Three months before Cohen and RHONY producers moved to pause McSweeney's case, The Blast reported that they filed to dismiss the lawsuit against them and other defendants.

The list included specific individuals and networks who worked on RHONY and "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip," such as Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc., Shed Media US Inc., NBCUniversal Media LLC, and Bravo Media LLC.

Cohen's defense team claimed that many of McSweeney's complaints were supported by "the most conclusory and threadbare allegations" and should be dismissed as a matter of law. Their argument read:

"While Plaintiff attempts to overwhelm with a 754-paragraph complaint, even a cursory review of her allegations reveals that many concern matters entirely irrelevant to her claims and most are devoid of any factual or legal support, speculative, misleading, and/or demonstrably false."

A month after Cohen and the other defendants moved to dismiss her lawsuit, The Blast reported that McSweeney updated her case with new allegations. She filed her amended lawsuit in New York, claiming unfair retaliation.

According to McSweeney, ever since she dropped her bombshell claims against Cohen and RHONY producers, he retaliated with a smear campaign. She accused him of using his lawyers to threaten and destroy her public image.

The accusations did not end there, as McSweeney claimed Cohen's camp also tried to get her blackballed in the entertainment industry. She described their actions as calculated attempts to ensure she and any other Bravo star who might dare speak up against Cohen stay silent.

McSweeney's amended lawsuit argued that Cohen's response to her claims was intentionally leaked to the press. She noted he and his attorneys did so to damage her credibility by threatening to sue her if she did not withdraw her complaints.

The former Bravolebrity noted that people could make whatever claims they wanted under the law without repercussions unless they couldn't prove their allegations. However, Cohen's lawyers threatened to sue her.

She alleged they took this approach because not everyone knew the rules. Therefore, those who wished to speak out against the Bravo executive wouldn't, fearing legal repercussions.

Leah McSweeney always fires back at Andy Cohen's response to her allegations, so it is safe to say she will not let his new motion to pause their case slide.
