The Weeknd has been doing epic things with his music over the past year as usual as the numbers speak for themselves. 10 years ago, the music world was introduced to the Toronto superstar as he put out his "House Of Balloons" mixtape in March 2011. Now, The Weeknd has some big plans in regards to celebrating this project's 10-year anniversary and it involves putting it on streaming platforms. He took to his social media feeds to reveal his plan to his fans for House Of Balloons this month.

'House Of Balloons' To Hit Streaming Platforms On March 21

"House Of Balloons" will be available on all streaming platforms on March 21, exactly 10 years to the day of its original release. Bundles will also be included from The Weeknd with 1,000 vinyls and other exclusive merchandise. Fans have since expressed excitement about this and are looking forward to the nostalgia.

The Weeknd Also Put Out His 'The Highlights' Album Last Month

In addition to "House Of Balloon's release coming up, The Weeknd also had another huge project he put out last month. This was a greatest hits album with "The Highlights." This was made available on all streaming platforms just before Weeknd's upcoming Super Bowl halftime show performance was coming. The numbers for The Highlights were very impressive as it went on to be the most streamed album in Spotify history. Classic records such as "Blinding Lights," "Starboy," and "The Hills" were on it.

'House Of Balloons' Remains A Fan-Favorite

"House Of Balloons" contained nine tracks in total. The lead singles for this project were "Wicked Games" and "Twenty Eight." This mixtape helped set the state for The Weeknd to really shine over the next year and a half and work with some of the biggest artists in the industry. His debut studio album, "Kiss Land," went on to be released in September 2013 as that was his first RIAA-certified gold project. The rest ended up being history as Weeknd is now one of the biggest stars in the world.

The Weeknd Has Recently Been Boycotting The GRAMMYs

The Weeknd has been boycotting the GRAMMYS lately and this is after it was revealed in November that he wouldn't be nominated at all for their 2021 awards show. He went on Twitter to call them corrupt and that he, the industry and his fans deserve transparency. Weeknd also recently told the New York Times how the GRAMMYs have "special committees" in their processes. Fans have since supported his decision to boycott as it's still a shock that he wasn't nominated at all considering the huge 2020 that he had.
