Harrison, has been a host on the “Bachelor” franchise since 2002. His name is a household name to those who die-hard fans of the reality TV show.
The “Bachelor” is a reality TV show, that is based on the concept of a man seeking love in the midst of a group of women.
Many have come out of the show successful, after they found their soul mates, while others didn’t end so well.
Harrison was the host till season 25 of the show, but decided to resign from his position, as the franchise got close to its finale.

The “Bachelorette” is a spinoff of the show the “Bachelor,” and in this case, it involves a woman seeking love in the midst of gorgeous looking men.
The first black Bachelorette star was Rachel Lindsay, who fortunately is still with the winner of the show and her now husband Bryan Abasolo.
The rumored and apparent star of the next season is said to be Kate Thurston. However, that speculation has not yet been confirmed. She was also one of the former contestants on the “Bachelor,”
Harrison wouldn’t be hosting this season’s finale, due to his slip up. The show is now to be hosted by Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe, who were former contestants on the show.
Chris Harrison’s Public Slip-up
Harrison, during an interview with American media personality Rachel Lindsay, defended a Rachael Kirkconnell, who did some racially offensive things in the Pst.
Old pictures of Kirkconnell portraying racism surfaced on social media and Harrison defended her actions speaking on how it was not ‘such a bad thing.’
After the public backlash, Kirkconnell and Harrison apologized for what they had done in the past and present respectively.
Later on, Harrison resigned from hosting the show, and later spoke about hoping to be part of the franchise in the future. However the Warner Horizon and ABC Entertainment didn’t make him the host of the “Bachelorette.”
How Does Rachel Lindsay Feel?
After Harrison apologized, fans began to wonder if Lindsay would find it in her heart to forgive him for his tone-deaf statement.
She talked about how there were racial issues on the show, and how Harrison’s act of racism is difficult for her to accept.
The shows officials offered this statement following their decision to replace him as the host;
“… taking steps in effecting fundamental change so that our franchise is a celebration of love that is reflective of our world,” Warner Horizon and ABC Entertainment stated.
Fans are still in anticipation of the new season of the “Bachelorette.”
