Brandi Redmond and Dr. Tiffany Moon were at odds during the last couple of episodes of "The Real Housewives of Dallas" season five due to Redmond's inability to move on from the Asian racism scandal she faced in 2020. However, during tonight's new episode, Redmond and the anesthesiologist, who was added to the Bravo cast last year as the first Asian to join the franchise, seemingly make some positive progress with one another.
In a sneak peek, Redmond is seen apologizing to the doctor for her past claims about being uncomfortable around her.
Brandi Redmond Admits To Putting Pressure On Dr. Tiffany Moon
After sitting as a group, Redmond asks if she can take a turn addressing Dr. Moon. Right away, she begins to tear up.
"I just want to say... I don't want to cry. But, I'm sorry. I felt uncomfortable around you [but] it wasn't because of you. It's just me, internally. In return, I've put a lot of pressure on you as my friend and it hasn't allowed me to completely be myself around you and it's not you, it's me," Redmond admitted.
Brandi Redmond Took A Huge Step With Dr. Tiffany Moon
Redmond continued on, telling Dr. Moon that she wants to establish a deeper bond with her.
"I want to grow closer with you and I'm sorry. I want to be myself around you and you just check me if I'm wrong. I love you," Redmond says.
In a cast confessional, D’andra Simmons tells cameras that Redmond's apology to Redmond was a "huge step."
"When she's saying, 'Tiffany, this is not about you, this is about me. I need to fix me,' that's the first step in becoming healed. She can't heal anyone else but herself," Simmons states.
Dr. Tiffany Moon Will 'Check' Brandi Redmond If Needed
After hearing what Redmond has to say, Dr. Moon offers a response, confirming that if Redmond was to step out and do or say something that was offensive to her, as her Asian video was last year, she won't hesitate to tell Redmond about it.
"If you do or say something that I think is not the best representative of yourself, I'll tell you. And we have to be able to move past this if we're going to have a deeper friendship," Dr. Moon shares.
Brandi Redmond Was Accused Of Racism In Early 2020
"I want to do that with you too," Dr. Moon adds.
In early 2020, Redmond was involved in a racism scandal after a video surfaced online in which the mother of four was seen appearing to make fun at Asians by squinting her eyes and taking in an accent.
To see more of Redmond, Dr. Moon, and their cast mates, tune into new episodes of "The Real Housewives of Dallas" season five, which air this and every Tuesday night at 9/8c on Bravo.
