Nick Offerman and other Hollywood stars expressed their support for Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign during a virtual fundraising event held on Monday night.
The "Comics for Kamala" event was organized to raise funds for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris' campaign, co-hosted by Rep. Eric Swalwell. Ben Stiller, Kathy Griffin, Jane Fonda, John Stamos, Ed Helms, Tiffany Haddish, Ike Barinholtz, Mark Hamill, and Rosie O’Donnell were also among the guest speakers at the “Comics for Kamala” Zoom rally.
At the event, "Parks and Recreation" star Nick Offerman did not hold back as he repeatedly described former President Donald Trump, running mate J.D. Vance as "f-cking weird" in a brutal song.
Nick Offerman Endorses Kamala Harris
"I'm powerfully grateful to vote for Presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who didn't just prosecute rapists, but also is not one herself," Nick Offerman said via Zoom at the event, blasting Trump after he was found liable for sexually abusing advice columnist E. Jean Carroll. "So, please count me in on that team."
"I've written a song for the evening from the point of view of one of these Republicans that might have once been blind, but now can see a way clear to decency," he said before breaking out his guitar and singing a song to the tune of "God Bless The USA."
Parody Of 'God Bless The USA' Touches On Donald Trump Becoming A Convicted Felon
Nick Offerman sang about the Capitol riots and Donald Trump's recent trial, where he was found guilty on all 34 counts of falsified business records.
Some of the lyrics go as follows:
"He said to march on the Capitol, well if the president says 'it's okay.' And I don't mind sex with p-rn stars, I'd do it too if I had the guts, but when it comes to f-cking the furniture, well that's just fu-king nuts."
“So I’m proud to be a Kamala man who has quit the GOP ’cause I just can’t abide a man who’s tried for 34 felonies. And it’s time to stand up and face the fact that the men that I once cheered are a bunch of wingnut white nationalists. Well, those guys are f-cking weird.”
Nick Offerman Mocks The Attempted Assassination Of Donald Trump
He went on to sing: “Well, I bought me a Trump Bible ’cause, like me, he’s a man of God, but when he rants about sharks and batteries, I find that doddering old man kind of odd.”
"And while I'm no theologian, I thought it rather queer, when they said that God let that fireman die, but only nicked Don's precious ear," Offerman sang, referring to the attempted assassination of the former president that occurred last month.
As he went back to the chorus, he added lyrics referring to Trump's vice president pick, J.D. Vance.
"So I'm proud to be on Kamala's side where I know I'll never see some sprayed tanned tool denying a girl her ethnic identity. J.D. Vance looks like a baby butt underneath that creepy beard, so I'll say it loud and I sing it proud those guys are f-cking weird."
Nick Offerman Claims Donald Trump And J.D. Vance Don't Have A Chance Of Winning The Upcoming Election
In the final verse, Offerman reiterated his endorsement for Kamala Harris before claiming that Donald Trump doesn't have a chance of winning the upcoming presidential election.
"That's why I'm proud to be a Kamala man, she's a [unintelligible] that you could hug, and if he was here, I'd like to crack a beer with future first husband Doug, 'cause they stand for hope and unity and the families we hold dear, that Trump and Vance they ain't got a chance those guys are f-cking weird."
Nick Offerman's full song can be heard on Comics For Kamala's YouTube page. It begins at the 25-minute mark.
Others Who Have Endorsed Kamala Harris
Jane Fonda was also a part of the event, where she admitted, “I don’t recall anything like this where all of a sudden, it became exciting and hopeful and a total turnaround. And I know we all feel the excitement, but don’t you also feel the vast potential for the future that has opened up?”
"It’s not just because the orange man is terrible, it’s because Kamala is the leader we need right now. She’s fierce, she’s smart, she’s experienced and she can beat him," she added.
The three-hour event raised more than $530,000 for the Harris campaign.
